I walked into m&s this afternoon with my children in tow, I got what I needed and was walking past the lingerie and thought I'd grab a pack of nultipack cotton bikini knickers.
i obviously hadn't paid attention as when I got home I realised I'd picked up full briefs instead of bikins.
They are massive and yet i don't want to return them as they look so bloody comfy, would I be unreasonable to keep them and wear them?
DH would look at me say what the actual f are you wearing however he is a little too fond of his loose greying boxers that he keeps wearing so often so he can't talk.

This thread has inspired me to chuck out all my little pants that really I'm too fat for. I've got a cracking back side but my tummy and cps scar is a problem and sometimes pants do roll down underneath. Feels a waste of money but losing weight is a sloooooow process Sad.

KittyB52 · 23/03/2018 19:22

I also love big pants, but they all seem to come in dreary pastel colours. Has anyone found any big pants in nice bright colours or even patterns?

IHaveBrilloHair · 23/03/2018 19:25

Do they not all come over your jeans?
I just can't wear them, they are just too big, I don't wear lace thongs (ouch), either, but nice cotton bikini pants.

NinaMarieP · 23/03/2018 20:08

I only wear high waisted jeans @IHaveBrilloHair so not a problem.
One thing worse than knickers rolling down/riding up is low cut jeans showing off your arse crack!

Tr1skel1on · 23/03/2018 20:09

I adore my M&S big pants, won't wear anything else. Although the Morrisons ones aren't too bad in an emergency.

Started wearing them when pregnant with DC1, DC1 is now at high school!!!

IHaveBrilloHair · 23/03/2018 20:18

I can't wear high waisted jeans, they make me look ridiculous, I'm 5 foot and they'd come up to my armpits!
There is definitely a middle ground between big pants and thongs though, I did Dd's washing the other week and it all came out of the machine in a lump, I though maybe a hair bobble had got caught up, but no, it was pants, as in a v small frilly thong!

mizu · 23/03/2018 21:23

I am an M&S bikini pant fan generally but I have 5 pairs of the full briefs which I wear with high waisted work trousers or my TOAST denim dresses and they are wonderful.

Oysterbabe · 23/03/2018 21:28

I bought some for after childbirth and am still wearing them.

LadyB49 · 23/03/2018 21:30

M and S do a big knicker similar to Sloggi, I got seconds off eBay with labels snipped, they worked out at £1.50 a pair. Fabulous quality.d
Rock On Big Knicks.

PlumsGalore · 23/03/2018 21:32

I bought a single pair for the osteopath when you strip to your undies, to protect my dignity.

They were so amazing I bought a pack of three, then another, and then another.

All big, all black, all cotton.

ElizaDontlittle · 23/03/2018 21:51

I switched to them when I gained my stoma - and only certain ones are high enough to comfortably cover the bag.

I don't understand what the issue about them being higher than your trouser waist is unless you wear very short/crop tops with your trousers? As they are still not visible to anyone. (with the exception of AlmostaJill - OCD is really tough - but I'd get some talking therapy to help as tailor made pants won't fix the deeper problem)

simiisme · 24/03/2018 00:00

M&S Full briefs, cotton, £7 for 5. Awesome :)

WhatWouldLeslieKnopeDo · 24/03/2018 06:21

Eliza that's why I switched to them too :) absolutely no danger of them showing over my trousers as since my op I also wear maternity jeans, which come up almost to my bra!

Slartybartfast · 24/03/2018 09:06

but do you put them on the washing line, and, do you use Two pegs Shock
Grin

Lucked · 24/03/2018 09:27

Eliza I am tall, 5'10, which is not ridiculously tall and getting tops which are the right length for me is tricky. Normal shops are often too short (M&S is very guilty of this - sending this back today ) and specialist tall shops can bee ridiculously long. Whilst I don't wear anything which shows my stomach deliberately, I accept that when I am reaching up or bending over my top may lift at the back or front a little.

CheeseAndBeans · 24/03/2018 09:31

I bought some big pants for after the birth of DD1. She is now almost 5 and I have never looked back! Big pants rock!!

NinaMarieP · 24/03/2018 09:48

Noooo knickers (of any size) never get hung outside BlushBlush

Inside only, and one peg by the side or gusset otherwise I'd only get two pairs side by side on my rack...

TheBadgersMadeMeDoIt · 24/03/2018 10:44

Green with envy. I've often looked longingly at those, then sigh and put the high-leg version in my basket (because they make my stumpy legs look less cartoonish)... and I always regret it when I end up wriggling them out of my crack a week later.

CMOTDibbler · 24/03/2018 10:50

Lucked, I am the same height, and buy the wonderful Primark camisole dresses and long vests. Today I have a vest on that no only tucks far down into my jeans (am wearing a lovely Phase Eight top that reveals several inches of my back when I sit down otherwise) but M&S high rise brazilian pants that come up to my tummy button.

My german colleagues tell me that this is important to keep your kidneys warm!

GaraMedouar · 24/03/2018 10:57

I got some massive big black pants from Tesco’s - up to the waist and completely covering my bum almost like shorts. Remind me of my ‘navy blues’ that we had to wear for PE at school under our PE skirt! So comfy.
I am a single mum of 3 , not likely to date in the near (or far) future so it’s comfort for me all the way !

MotherofPearl · 24/03/2018 12:08

You lot are inspiring me to treat myself to some full briefs. They sound both comfortable and comforting, somehow!

Thisnamechanger · 24/03/2018 12:11

I have a drawer of Agent Provocateur pants bought by DP and I wear the same 10 pairs of black giant pants on rotation every day. Sorry DP!

Lucked · 24/03/2018 12:13

CMOT vests are one of the few things I buy from long tall sally and almost always wear one to work but it can get too warm to always add a vest in the summer.

Hairgician · 24/03/2018 12:18

Big knickers lover here too!! I usually buy mine in tescos. 34 weeks pg and been in them since about 10weeks. Will be buying more in smaller sizes after birth. Too comfy to stop wearing!!

ChikiTIKI · 24/03/2018 12:56

After having a baby I got some big knickers, full briefs that were 2 sizes too big. Still wear them now they are so comfortable.
