I walked into m&s this afternoon with my children in tow, I got what I needed and was walking past the lingerie and thought I'd grab a pack of nultipack cotton bikini knickers.
i obviously hadn't paid attention as when I got home I realised I'd picked up full briefs instead of bikins.
They are massive and yet i don't want to return them as they look so bloody comfy, would I be unreasonable to keep them and wear them?
DH would look at me say what the actual f are you wearing however he is a little too fond of his loose greying boxers that he keeps wearing so often so he can't talk.

Sloggi maxi in black every day. Best knickers ever. Don't care what anyone thinks! Such blissful comfort!

UterusUterusGhali · 20/03/2018 14:15

I started buying them because I wear scrubs at work and they always slip down and I didn't want my crack on show whilst bending over in theatre.

Have fully transitioned to the Brigittes now.

I loved m&s black with the frill but now they only do them with white and beige in a multi pack and I'm so not ready for white or beige big knicks.

Snowmagedon · 20/03/2018 14:17

It would never occur to to me to even consider dh when choosing my undies and the only time he has any contact with them is taking them off.

I wear huge granny pants left over from section

NutElla5x · 20/03/2018 14:27

I accidentally bought some belly warmers over a year ago and started off wearing them as period knickers but found them sooo comfy I now wear them all the time. They're the bollocks (have plenty of room for some too).

the bollocks

probablynapping · 20/03/2018 15:23

I'm not even 21, no kids, very vain but still obsessed with giant pants.
Though I should add - I'm very single

tiptoesquiet · 20/03/2018 18:16

Wore my second pair today and would like to report that my DH wasn't put off by them at all (quite the opposite in factBlush) then again I did go an entire year after my first child without ever shaving my legs and even that didn't put him off me bless him.

Harvest Knickers . . . . "All is safely gathered in"
Good one!

SleepOhHowIMissYou · 22/03/2018 00:24

As a dress wearing lady with "kissing thighs" I am impatiently waiting for bloomers to make a comeback.

Currently making do with cotton cycling shorts as there's nowhere on the high street that sells trunk type ladies underwear. Definitely a gap in the market.

tillytrotter1 · 22/03/2018 02:30

In addition when it's been so cold recently I wear an old bedraggled lycra t-shirt under my regular jumpers and it tucks into big pants, no chilly draughts around the middle.

Faintlinesquints · 22/03/2018 02:42

Eek I just cannot succumb to big pants. I'd rather wear none! Clearly I'm in the manority though and glad to hear you (and your dh) are loving them Wink

AveAtqueVale · 22/03/2018 07:14

I’ve only ever worn big pants. I switched from midis to full briefs around the age of 21 and am still blissfully happy with them. Life is too short to wear uncomfortable underwear.

Branleuse · 22/03/2018 07:32

I suggest you try sloggi - double comfort shorts if you want the ultimate in comfort pants. Theyre incredible, so comfortable its like having a hug

I have found my people. Big pants are the future.

dingdongdigeridoo · 22/03/2018 08:24

SleepOhHowIMissYou - look up Sloggi long leg briefs. They’re like modern bloomers, lovely and cottony and don’t show under a clingy dress. They were a life saver in 30 degree Spanish weather.

I justify wearing big pants by thinking they’re like sexy 50s style high waisted pants. But I know I’m turning into my grandma.

honeyroar · 22/03/2018 08:30

I did exactly the same thing, grabbed the wrong pack and bought m&s big knickers. I wouldn't wear them with trousers as they do show at the top, and I find them too hot to sleep in (no logic to that, but I do!) however I love them for horse riding in. My husband jokes about them "ah you've got my mums pants on again!"

MuffinMad · 22/03/2018 08:32

Another vote for Sloggi Maxi. Slightly stretchy and soooo comfy.

Not the cheapest pants around, but they wash well and last for ages.

👍🏻

popcornpaws · 22/03/2018 08:40

My DD laughed at my big m and s full briefs when she saw me wearing them one day, she said oh let me try a pair on, then her face changed and she said these feel amazing!!
This was when she was 17!
She wears no vpl full briefs from marks, all her wee fancy ones are redundant!!

WatchoutDSisdriving · 22/03/2018 08:55

I received the bamboo pants and they’re ok but not amazing. I wonder if it is because they are slightly snugger than I would like. I will give them a full day try today but suspect I may go back to my M&S cotton ones.

Ginza · 22/03/2018 09:29

I just love the way the packet says "briefs" when they are clearly not brief at all...

elspinsdemariscal · 22/03/2018 09:40

@BettyBaggins what does the label/packaging say so I can look out for them the next time I'm in Primark please?

Branleuse · 22/03/2018 09:52

my dp is not put off by big pants in the slightest. Nor my comfy molke bras

NinaMarieP · 22/03/2018 09:53

I am also still in full briefs (that sit just above my belly button) after having my first baby, he's 7 months now!

I never wore really tiny knickers but mini/high leg briefs and got sick of them rolling down when I was pregnant so started buying Tesco full briefs... I have now in fact binned anything smaller than those because I can't go back!

JaneJeffer · 22/03/2018 10:10

I would like pants that are low on the hips but big enough to cover my arse but there seems to be no such thing.
