To think a transgender male murderer should not be allowed to win 'Miss Fitness' competition WHILE IN JAIL

Fekko yes exactly - I think people are supposed to declare sincerely that the change will be permanent but logically, if the premise that you can quite reasonably change genders exists in the first place, then I don't think they could reasonably stop a person from wanting to change back... especially if it is demedicalised and de-supervised with Self-ID.

And if the TIM isn't actually required to wear dresses, make-up, wigs, take hormones, have surgery etc, etc anyway, then a TIM could remain a woman legally, but to all intents and purposes 'live as a man' and really we women couldn't stop them still claiming to be a woman because we would be told we were being sexist/gender stereotyping to say that you are only a woman if you shave and wear dresses and look like a woman etc. (??!!!??)

So really once a person/ TIM has declared themselves a woman then they really do have access to pretty much everything. Eg a Daniel Muscato with a gender neutral name like Jamie, would not be turned away from a men-only club (that didn't require gendered ID, eg a utility bill or something that would give away their legal status) because to anyone who didn't know him, he looks just like a man and would be assumed to be one.

So TIMs who don't pass or make an effort to pass really can have their cake and eat it.

it is qutie terrifying when you follow it all through :(

Once male has done a self id then it is time for the penis to come off. If they want to be a woman then they need to a proper shot at it. Being female isn't all about make up and dresses.

Loads of the TRAs are playing at being female. Once they have properly lived as a female for a few years ( without TRA to keep them busy / famous) then it will be tough shit when they change their minds.

blackberry I feel almost unqualified to mention it, other than as a non-hateful human being.

Those were horrendous, horrendous events and as I am not Jewish I can barely imagine the trauma and terrifying climate people lived in. Thankfully some people like your family escaped.

From studying at school with a Jewish history teacher we got a glimpse of his utter indescribable pain and it my lasting lesson was to never assume a hateful ideaology couldn't take hold again by insidious means and a society with its eyes closed (ignorantly or willingly), but to be vigilant and to never just sit back and ignore/ wash my hands, or think someone else will fix it.

I never really ever belived though, that I would go on to live in times like this with Trans stuff and Trump etc :(

Yes, I hear you completely. I really thought we would have learned by now but I guess people always thought that too. But also some people seem to have read 1984 and thought it was a manual rather than a warning...

I'm the same age as you and have been really thinking back to the 80s and 90s in comparision to now and wonder WTF is going on.

I guess the (scary) answer is that we will have to speak for ourselves.

Time to down tools, and children, and elderly parents (nad health probelms somehow), and do some very unladylike revolting.

So. If a man were to say ‘I’m a woman’ thrice (or whatever the hell) and hey presto, Jack becomes Jill - we all have to agree that he is a woman? No assessment, no doctors, no drugs, no surgery, no shave... just a word from them.

A person who has a penis is not female. That is absolute biological fact. Women do not have penises. But we're living in a time where feelings take priority over fact, so if a 6'3" bloke with a beard and big swinging dick puts on a skirt and says he's a woman, then women must refrain from being 'bigoted transphobes' and welcome him-sorry- her, into our showers, bathrooms, competitions and prison cells. We have to validate "their truth" that they are a woman. There is no such thing as "your truth". There is THE truth, and your opinion.
Opinion is ruling truth, and it terrifies me.

Out of curiosity, are any TransMen competing against biological Males to take their crown? I've not heard of any...

The comparison is between people saying it's being overblown and it's only ONE case and bit realising how the erosion of rights can start with small events, which people decide is nothing to do with them..

Chris Mosier was reasonably successful in triathlon after transitioning.

Schuyler Bailar on the other hand was a successful swimmer when competing as female but I don't think they achieved much after transitioning.

You're missing the point Falmer and Teddy. It's comparing how bad things can take hold gradually either without people noticing, or thinking minor things aren't important, or it won't really effect them.
