To ask my boyfriend not to talk to me when DTD?

I get that it's probably all part of the experience for him, and I in no way want to curtail his enjoyment. A few odd words/phrases here or there I actually quite like too, but it is becoming almost a running commentary! AIBU to tell him to shut up?

OP posts:

Oh god I'd hate this! Try to tell him gently that so much chat is distracting you from an otherwise good time?

LemonShark · 29/01/2018 13:06

Just cover his mouth up while you're doing it. He'll probably find it hot. And it'll get the point across.

user1471517900 · 29/01/2018 13:08

What's he saying? Like some sort of sports commentary?

"Jason looks like he's tiring....but what's this? He's found a new angle. Unbelievable Jeff!"

Wolfiefan · 29/01/2018 13:10

Tell him you want to try something new. A gag! Grin

Mellodrama · 29/01/2018 13:11

Grin I'm intrigued now, what's he saying? I love dirty talk, my DP is so damn good at it too Wink

gamerchick · 29/01/2018 13:12

I really want to know what he’s saying Grin

I hear you OP and I really dislike the ‘debrief’ afterwards or the next day I’ve been subjected to. Just.shut.up

RaininSummer · 29/01/2018 13:12

User ha ha brilliant.

MiltonBurnedTheBuildingDown · 29/01/2018 13:13

What do you think of the pedestrianisation of Norwich city centre? I'll be honest, I'm dead against it. I mean, people forget that traders need access to DIXONS!

TroubledTribble28 · 29/01/2018 13:14

Eurgh nope. Tell your bf to talk dirty or stfu.

Lovelydovey · 29/01/2018 13:14

I hate it too. He tends to tell me how he wishes we had sex more often, which tend to make me feel guilty and spoil the moment.

EggsonHeads · 29/01/2018 13:14

I actually really like DTD with someone who is talking. Even if it's about the cricket.

PinkHeart5914 · 29/01/2018 13:15

If he can talk that much he isn’t shagging right!

Surely it’s like any exercise or gym workout if you can talk that much you haven’t worked hard enough?

Jesus, I actually had to dump a boyfriend for this - it was fucking incessant 😒 Maybe just say that it makes it hard for you to focus on enjoying things when he's chattering away.

What is DTD?

kaytee87 · 29/01/2018 13:26

Doing the deed

Biddie191 · 29/01/2018 13:27

Doing the Deed, I think....

OnLiamsList · 29/01/2018 13:29

From reading the thread it seems to be talking during sex? TDS?

My ex used to keep up a nonstop narrative of what kind of sex he'd RATHER be having than what we were actually doing at the time. I even wrote to an online problem page asking how to tactfully tell him to shut up. Much of what he said was horrible and made me dry up and turn off.

I found out later that his purpose in doing this was to link his porn-informed narrative to pleasure in my brain, to make me want to do the pervy shit he rabbited on about.

He's now my ex.

GeekyWombat · 29/01/2018 13:29

Definitely use a gag!

MrsDilber · 29/01/2018 13:30

Yanbu.

FizzyGreenWater · 29/01/2018 13:32

Start saying 'Hey HEYY' in reply to every comment in a Fonz kind of voice. That'll shut him up.

We have sex silently. Dirty talk just makes me either laugh or cringe. Sex talk only works on me via textBlush
