Women Baring their beasts at a fire engine......

I was nightshift on New Years Eve into new year's day in the city centre tre. I couldn't believe it when a group of drunk ladies decided to flash at the guys in the fire engine I was in. I actually had to lock the cab door as they were trying to climb in when we were stopped at traffic lights.
Why the hell would anyone think that's acceptable in an emergency vehicle.
I was mortified for them!

Not including breastfeeding in my last comment, since it’s clearly not the same thing.

Bluntness100 · 03/01/2018 16:15

Peppa. You just looking for a fight? 🤣

Pfftkids · 03/01/2018 16:15

If women were flashing the flange at fire fighters that would be comparable to men waving their members around but they arent. They were flashing their boobs, every slightly hot day here it's taps aff and women need to look at man nipple without complaint!

MockneyReject · 03/01/2018 16:15

I doubt any of the occupants were in fear of being overpowered and penetrayed by these women and their breasts.

I'm denying that groups of drunks can be tedious, embarrassing and potentially obstructive. More that the perceived threat here, is/was likely lesser than had it been, say, a group of drunk men surrounding a lone woman driver displaying their genitals.

formerbabe · 03/01/2018 16:15

Imagine if a group of guys flashed their penises at a group of women

Yeah because men never do anything like this do they? Hmm

mrsmuddlepies · 03/01/2018 16:15

Peppapig, how can you defend behaviour like this? Totally inappropriate behaviour.

MockneyReject · 03/01/2018 16:19

Gah, not

Baring your breast to feed a baby is not the same as baring your breasts to sexually harass someone as they try to do their job.

Hatsoffdear · 03/01/2018 16:22

Classy! Not. Horrible behaviour as my mother would say very common.

Eatingwormswithwine · 03/01/2018 16:23

Formerbabe, I never said this never happens. My point was, would the reaction still be so “ah, it’s only penises” if it was men

Zatsuma · 03/01/2018 16:24

Peppa, where were you on New Year's Eve? Grin

Vitalogy · 03/01/2018 16:25

The Firemen were feeling uncomfortable, sorry, don't buy it.

PollyShelbyLifeCoachServices · 03/01/2018 16:26

Breast feeding is perfectly acceptable, getting your norks out at fireman / firewomen trying to do a job is not, wouldn't be okay in the middle of waitrose would it? I agree no one is going to be physically injured for the whipping out of boobs and yes, I do have a sense of humour, but its tacky and rewinds us back to the 1950's in terms of attitudes towards women. Suffice to say flashing of one's body is probably best confined to the inside of ones house (light-hearted, don't roast me please!)

Willow2017 · 03/01/2018 16:27

Doesnt mattet that it was just boobs. The intent was clearly sexual. And to try to get in the cab was beyond ignorant.

Why is it not ok for women to be sexually harassed at work but because they were men its ok? Just cos they are firefighters are they suppised to be super heroic tough guys who shouldn't be bothered by it or should be grateful to have women throwing themselves at them?

What would have happened when the lights changed and half naked women were hanging out the doors?

Sadly some women still have double standards when it comes to any kind of harassnent. Women should call men out on it to the highest level at work but men should just deal with it. No they shouldnt.

StickThatInYourPipe · 03/01/2018 16:27

No difference to men having their tops off really, why are people so offended by breasts?

MockneyReject · 03/01/2018 16:27

No it wouldnt, eating worms, because men can and do hurt women using their peni; women don't hurt men with their breasts.

AnnetteCurtains · 03/01/2018 16:28

Peppapig those firefighters are out to help save peoples lives , whilst risking theirs
its shameful that you are defending this kind of behaviour
Nobody should be subjected to sexual harassment

formerbabe · 03/01/2018 16:29

Formerbabe, I never said this never happens. My point was, would the reaction still be so “ah, it’s only penises” if it was men

The women flashed their breasts not their genitals so the comparison to penises doesn't work.

Not condoning the women's behaviour btw!

OnionKnight · 03/01/2018 16:30

Why is anyone defending this? Confused

GoReylo · 03/01/2018 16:30

In summer I expect I'll see a lot of men "flashing their breasts". It happens every year. Can't walk down the street without being sexually harassed by naked man tits...

Hannah4banana · 03/01/2018 16:32

We were all uncomfortable. I'm quite surprised at some of the comments, I was at my work. This is not acceptable whether I'm male or female! If this happened in an office would it still just be breasts and a bit of a laugh? I didn't feel threatened but I was mortified for them!

isupposeitsverynice · 03/01/2018 16:32

ah i don't believe for a second your male colleagues were half as uncomfortable as they let you believe. sorry

MockneyReject · 03/01/2018 16:33

I don't see anyone condoning this, just negating the direct comparisons with men/penises.

Jaygee61 · 03/01/2018 16:33

CleR from this thread that some people do still subscribe to the view that for men there is no such thing as unwanted sexual attention and that men cannot by definition be sexually harassed.
