AIBU to ask you all what you think of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's engagement photos?

Sorry if there's already a thread on this.

I saw they've been released today, and went to have a look. I think they both look lovely! They surprised me a bit though, as they're a bit more intimate than other royal engagement ones.

Disclaimer: I'm a raging royalist

The difference between that photo and the one of Diana and Charles is really interesting. Diana looks as though she hadn't quite worked out what she was in for.

Not a Royalist and not really interested in the wedding, but I've had a look and they seem like nice enough pictures - very flattering to Harry.

I liked the one where Meghan is wearing the jumper but I thought the one on the steps looked a bit "stiff"

I think they are really sweet

I really like them but then again I've got a soft spot for Harry.

I like them. I really love the one where they are leaning on each other and she is snuggled into his coat. Really lovely and they both look radiantly happy.

I like MM. I think she'll be good for the RF. Between her and Kate they'll inject a bit of much needed realism and modernism into things - much more touchy-feely and family orientated. Best of luck to them I say!

They actually, really look genuinely happy and that's a nice thing. There must be such less pressure when you aren't first in line to the throne.

Wow the comparison with Charles and Diana! C and D both look uncomfortable and stiff. They don’t look happy at all.

MM and H look so genuinely happy together.

I've never seen Harry look as happy.

I just can't warm to her, and I have no idea why (and it's not because she's American, or mixed race, before anyone jumps down my throat)

They look like two very rich, very polished people posing. HTH. .

No but seriously - I think it's that she's a beautiful woman but she doesnt radiate warmth to me - or elegance. Polish but not elegance.

My baby photos are in an album with that engagement picture of Charles and Diana on it! These are much better pictures but they still don't seem as relaxed as Kate and William. Maybe that's because Kate and William were together a lot longer by then so we were more used to them.

Don’t like her, either. Too self-aware and brittle.
