Sorry if there's already a thread on this.

I saw they've been released today, and went to have a look. I think they both look lovely! They surprised me a bit though, as they're a bit more intimate than other royal engagement ones.

Disclaimer: I'm a raging royalist

They're nice photos but there's always a lot of arm clutching and half hiding from her in recent publicity shots. Acting young and awkward.

Ironic really, her late MIL was genuinely young and awkward and yet had to pose so formally for her engagement shots.

I think they are a disgustingly attractive couple and make me and my dh look like a potato and a cabbage respectively.

Funnily enough I think harry looks like Charles in the one where he's sitting on the steps - when you scroll down to the one of Charles you can see it in the nose and face shape. And harry hardly ever looks like Charles!

I'm very meh about harry and Meghan but they look happy and those are lovely photos so good for them.

I'm rather jealous she got to wear a Ralph and Russo couture gown. She can keep the Prince. I would rather have the wardrobe!

That's just what I thought, except perfume, but same idea. The black and white one with her eyes closed in particular. Its also a bit bizarre that he is in a daytime suit, and she is in an expensive evening dress with sheer sleeves, outside on a December day without a coat on! Just makes it even more contrived and ad-like.

They're ok. I loved Kate and Wills cuddly relaxed one, these seem more unnatural, but they're probably just not used to it. They're nice.

Why do the women who marry into the royal family always get attacked? It’s almost as if many women feel as though she’s got her claws into their sons. A million slightly creepy overprotective and overinvested MILs. I do not envy MM or Kate at all.

Lovely. The first black and white one with the close up they look so in love. Don't care who they are, you would have to be made of stone to not see that and smile.

The amateur photographer in me says they are very good shots - straight out of the ad section in a glossy mag. As Royal engagement photos, they are very different and a bit "out there", I'm just slightly cynical that they could have been posed by 2 models that had never met before and the chemistry would have been much the same. I loved Kate and Wills' photos, much more formal but equally more genuine.

Second one, I can just hear it 'mouth hanging open a little, love - that's it, need you to look really brainless for that model look. No smiling harry, this is a catalogue shoot, clothes not you'.

See the knickers ad on this page - stripey tights, half open mouth, chest stuck out to hold up bra that doesn't fit. Photographers are a joke.

I hope I’m wrong because he lost his Mum so young and life can’t have been easy growing up in that family without her and it’s taken him a long time to find someone he believes to be ‘the one’, I hope she doesn’t hurt him. My feelings have nothing to do with him being ‘royalty’ whatsoever. I hope hers aren’t either.

I though "oh how lovely! Expensive pictures of people in expensive clothes paid for by me and all the other plebs in the UK". Here's to the expensive wedding also paid for by us all. Including those who have very little this Christmas.
