To be pissed with c-section shamers?

where have they all come from?! it seems to be a new trend where celebrities and others are shaming moms that for whatever reason have sections. Kate Hudson started recently claiming having a section was the "laziest thing she has ever done" 😤

Just ignore.

I had one of mine via the sunroof method and feel no shame.

Justanothernameonthepage · 16/09/2017 16:15

FFS I've had both C-section and vaginal, and the C-section was much harder overall. (For me anyway). Giving birth is not a competitive thing and as long as mothers and babies survive and are healthy, then it's a win - no matter what methods are used.

ticketytock1 · 16/09/2017 16:16

Yanbu
They are fuck faced ball bags 👊

jaseyraex · 16/09/2017 16:18

Ignore it. For some reason it seems c sections are always going to be seen as the "easy" option.

I've had one vaginal birth and one c section. I nearly died during my section, if only I could have done it the non lazy way again!

Elective c section here. Not sorry or ashamed in the slightest; it was awesome.

Fairylea · 16/09/2017 16:20

It's all so ridiculous. When your child is a teen or older (or even just out of the baby stage to be honest) no one even cares how they came into the world.

OuchBollocks · 16/09/2017 16:20

I had a VB and an ELCS. Didn't rate either to be honest. Both shit. But nobody has ever criticised that I've noticed. Haters gonna hate, don't worry about it

StickThatInYourPipe · 16/09/2017 16:21

It noticed and don't give a fuck about what a load of twats think or pass judgment on.

YABU to give it a second thought

LottieDoubtie · 16/09/2017 16:22

I'm not ashamed either and I don't really get the motives of people trying to do the shaming Confused

TBH I dont buy the argument that it is 'easier' recovery is painful and takes a lot longer than vaginal delivery does.

Also if there was an actual easier way to do it I would take it like a shot.

These people who think there is shame in sections also don't take paracetamol for a headache and are currently out the back using their mangles on the wet sheets I assume?

shakingmyhead1 · 16/09/2017 16:23

1 emergency and 1 planned, and i watched 1 natural birth..... im fairly sure have ptsd from it, i think if we had filmed that shit and showed it to teenagers in school there would be no such thing as teen pregnancy ( b4 you all get freaked out, the mother and i have talked about it often and even she agrees it was not cool.... was not straight forward or easy )

LoveMyLittleSuperhero · 16/09/2017 16:23

YANBU one of the ladies at work has just had a baby and started posting on Facebook about lazy mums who "couldn't be bothered" to have their baby "properly". I have had 2 DDs by c-section one EMCS and one by ELCS for medical reasons. Simple enough to unfriend her which I've done but she's already started the lectures whenever she drops into work as well Angry can't wait for her mat leave to end Hmm

LadyTsunade · 16/09/2017 16:24

I had an emergency one for my first, then had no choice for my second daughter due to how my body is 😆 I never thought much of it at the time, but it seems to be a big deal especially in the States. It's as though major abdominal surgery is 'the lazy bitch ' route 😑

specialsubject · 16/09/2017 16:25

No other body function is a competition, no idea why childbirth should be.

This kind of thing is a useful stupidity detector. Sadly from those who are producing more of the same...

Butterymuffin · 16/09/2017 16:25

Message to Kate Hudson: No, Bride Wars is the laziest thing you've ever done. Be ashamed of that and leave other women alone.

Wishforsnow · 16/09/2017 16:27

I don't get what kind of weirdos judge how other people give birth it's so odd and why would they care

OuchBollocks · 16/09/2017 16:28

I wish I could have been drunk during my section like I was when I saw Bride Wars. Might have enjoyed it a bit more.

Mollie85 · 16/09/2017 16:29

Buttery muffin - if I had Twitter I'd tweet that very thing to her...Grin

Getout21 · 16/09/2017 16:30

I was shocked at the pain during the recovery of the C section & how I couldn't walk straight. Where does this "easy" reputation come from?

I've also had a straightforward VB with no time for pain relief & I would still take that over CS.

Crumbelina · 16/09/2017 16:30

I'm having a planned ELCS on Tuesday and I'm sure it can't be any worse than my first natural labour which was the worst experience of my life and ended in an EMCS.

It's all planned and all booked in but my 2 year old daughter's male hairdresser told me yesterday that I should go natural and re-think my decision. Made me Grin. Nod, smile, ignore ...

OuchBollocks · 16/09/2017 16:32

Ah yes Crumbelina, he was probably one of those consultant obstetricians who moonlight as hairdressers Grin

sassolino · 16/09/2017 16:34

I had an emergency c-section after 36 hours of labour and a very distressed child, with my 2nd I insisted on the elective section.
Ignore all the stupid c-section shamers, ignore, ignore.

BitOfANameChange · 16/09/2017 16:38

I got the odd comment in the aftermath of the ELCS I had with DD. I just asked if it were better that I died. Which stopped them dead. pretty much every person who hasn't had a CS thinks an ELCS means you asked for it becuase you wanted to avoid a VB, not that it really means it's medically necessary but the doctors can afford to wait a few hours/days to slot you in.

With a CS at that time, I guess I'd be dead as I was developing pre-eclampsia, so DD had to come out 2 weeks early.

TheDodgyEnd · 16/09/2017 16:43

Well if I'd not had a c-section, both myself and my youngest would be dead! Shame on me 🙄

MiddlingMum · 16/09/2017 16:54

I had an ELCS. It was either that or die along with my babies.
