Sorry rubbish title. I am vegeterian and so are my children (please I don't want to get into the rights and wrongs of this, they can make their own decision when they are older) my daughter came back from school telling me she had eaten sausages , I pulled her TA up about it today (she has asd) and was told they lost her card which specifies she's veggie. Aibu in thinking this is not acceptable!?

lets
Don't be fobbed off get a meeting with the head and spell it out to them. No apology, not following dietery requirements and not knowing fish is not vege is not good enough.

The TA admitted (OP's first post) that they had 'lost' the veggie meal info. Did school ever know at any point that she was supposed to be eating veggie, I wonder? It would make me scared that they didn't read any of her paperwork or needs assessment properly.

The receptionist even asked me if I had put it on the forms! Well duh Ofcourse i did! Unbelievable. I also had meetings with the school before she even attended where I told them we were veggie. Although funnily enough last night I remembered an incident that happened last term just before they broke up, my dd attends a group in there for children with additional needs, on the last day I got a call from the senco who told me the children were making their own lunches and it would be sausages and she was just checking that's ok! I said well no as my daughter is vegetarian and she said ok she will make sure she gets vegetarian sausages! Like why does she need to call me to check. It's on her forms. And I told her personally in the meeting as the meeting was with the head teacher senco and an inclusions worker.

Could you ask to review all her paperwork, look for anything else that might be missing?
