AIBU- Someone has used my unusual baby name

MmmmDonuts · 09/09/2017 20:32

I wanted my baby to have a one of a kind unique name.
I made up a name that I love. It's definetly never been used before.
(I realise this sounds dodgy already)

Anyway, my baby is 7 months old and someone in my town has just given birth and used the name.
I actually feel really gutted about it.

I realise I am about to be flamed in the comments.
BUt how can I feel less gutted about this? Meh

So you were either stupid enough to think you invented that name and also silly enough to not remember you posted her full name in a thread you started?Grin This is really funny.

BarbaraofSevillle · 09/09/2017 21:36

Not the point of the thread and I've never seen the film so I don't know if it's one of the characters or whether it is a common name, but I know someone called Django.

lunar1 · 09/09/2017 21:36

My friend has a made up name, every time she introduces herself to someone new she says. Yes it's made up, my parents are idiots.

HunterThompsonspen · 09/09/2017 21:36

Butchy It is! She starred in a porno after finding fame on Teen Mom. Lost her back door virginity for the film too apparently.

Again, excellent choice op!

DonkeyOaty · 09/09/2017 21:36

Doris I prefer Dieu Lex but yanno, you're babby, you're rulz.

You know what is a great made up word - Covfefe. Covfefe-Mae.

Grin
theancientmarinader · 09/09/2017 21:38

surely the op must have had a rethink before she registered the name? No one could think Farrah was unique, surely?... Benefit of the doubt op - best get back here and post the real name...

Lulalu · 09/09/2017 21:38

Eh - after all that, the name is Farrah Confused
I don't think it's been stolen from you OP. There is a Farrah in DD's class and another in our road.

sparklefarts · 09/09/2017 21:39

HahahhA oh dear

Oh god I'm so pleased someone else mentioned peas! And others shared the Farrow peas. I had the same nagging peas feeling!

Oysterbabe · 09/09/2017 21:39

Ah come back OP, take it on the chin Smile

Mooey89 · 09/09/2017 21:40

I have just absolutely wept with laughter, proper, wheezy, tears rolling down face laughter at Balonz thread - cannot believe I missed that the first time around. Absolutely gold.

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 09/09/2017 21:40

Doris I think your next baby could be Crowne-Vinylle - it's unisex, but add Silk for a girl and Matt for a boy.

ineedmorethanthis · 09/09/2017 21:41

I look very like Farrah Fawcett. In her prime of course. Been told many times.

Not stealth boast though. Ahem. Just is the subject of this post so thought I'd mention it.

Rushes off to admire self in mirror

usualGubbins · 09/09/2017 21:42

Now you may think that ahem unusual names are very millenia and all that, but I remember my mum had a boy in her infant class called King Coronation Prince. Now that's a difficult one to abbreviate....

DorisDangleberry · 09/09/2017 21:42

I don't understand why the royals call their children such boring names. George, Charlotte, William, Charles. Yawn yawn yawn.

Much better Princess Jubbly McWobbletits and Prince Closet Notgayatall

BarbaraofSevillle · 09/09/2017 21:42

Glad someone has explained the Farrow marrofat peas thing, because I didn't get that at all Blush

Covfefe is too close to the John Coffey character in The Green Mile to be Younique.

Sayyouwill · 09/09/2017 21:43

I've just caught up. Farrah?!

That's it. Weekend ruined. Thanks OP. You have literally ruined my weekend. May as well go back to work.

Andrewofgg · 09/09/2017 21:43

Farrah Fawcett (1947–2009), American actress

Well, sort of.

She is remembered for 35 reasons.

There were two pushing through the fabric of That Costume in That Poster.

There were 32 of which she showed as many as she possibly could when the script gave her any occasion to smile.

And there was a very minimal acting talent.

Jumble27 · 09/09/2017 21:45

Place marking for when the OP comes back to reveal all about the supposed mystery baby name Grin

arethereanyleftatall · 09/09/2017 21:45

Ah op, I'm feeling sorry for you now.

I imagine you were watching mo in the olympics, thought you'd made up a name, didn't check it out.

I'm not sure how you'd never heard of farrah fawcett, nor how in 7 months no one else has mentioned that.

The good thing for you to take from this thread is to never introduce her Any more to anyone explaining 'you made her name up.'

YouTheCat · 09/09/2017 21:45

Shush, Andrew! She was an original Angel.

Seriously, OP, if it's Farrah (or any other spelling of that) I know 2 kids between 8 and 10 who have that name.

BackieJerkhart · 09/09/2017 21:46

Hmm what a dickish post andrew

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 09/09/2017 21:46

He he Doris Grin

OP take comfort in the fact that you haven't burdened your poor dd with an awful made up name and she won't go through life with people asking her Eh? Can you repeat that? How are you spelling that? How unusual! What were your parents thinking? and so on.

blacksax · 09/09/2017 21:46

Farrah Tindall (b. 1842)
