AIBU- Someone has used my unusual baby name

MmmmDonuts · 09/09/2017 20:32

I wanted my baby to have a one of a kind unique name.
I made up a name that I love. It's definetly never been used before.
(I realise this sounds dodgy already)

Anyway, my baby is 7 months old and someone in my town has just given birth and used the name.
I actually feel really gutted about it.

I realise I am about to be flamed in the comments.
BUt how can I feel less gutted about this? Meh

lol Sherlock 🤣

hairymaryquitecontrary · 09/09/2017 21:15

You should thank them, OP. You mashed some sounds together to name your child, if a few other people use it you can legitimately call it a name!

Are you not going to tell us because it's dreadful?

hippyhippyshake · 09/09/2017 21:15

Surely everyone said to you 'oh, like Farrah Fawcett-Majors?'

ButchyRestingFace · 09/09/2017 21:16

Her name is Farrah Burton

Should have just called her Fawcett.

Oysterbabe · 09/09/2017 21:18

Good detective work, stalking past posts was next on my to do list Smile

3EyedRaven · 09/09/2017 21:19

Farrah was on my list. I didn't steal it from you OP. Promise

ScarlettOH · 09/09/2017 21:19

I can't believe you thought you had made up Farrah.

If you had googled it you would have quickly realised the actress and the porn star cough other actress

I know a Farrah. I teach her, she's 14.

ButchyRestingFace · 09/09/2017 21:20

Yeah, but watch this thread disappear in a big ol' puff of smoke.

bimbobaggins · 09/09/2017 21:20

Omg steampunk, you are my absolute hero, I can't believe you found the name.

Bit disappointed the name is farrah, I know at least 30

educatingarti · 09/09/2017 21:20

But you could have home for Katheta or Clamidia, both very pretty sounding!

Maudlinmaud · 09/09/2017 21:21

Seriously? I'm disappointed. I really really am. This has upset me.

BrieAndChilli · 09/09/2017 21:21

www.babycenter.com/baby-names-farrah-1653.htm

In the mid 1970s 1000 babies in a million were callled Farrah in the US which was when it was at its most popular.

InsomniacAnonymous · 09/09/2017 21:21

SteampunkPrincess · 09/09/2017 21:22

implantsandaDyson · 09/09/2017 21:23

Farrah? Really? there's one in my 6 year olds class.

AnxietyForever · 09/09/2017 21:23

It's a very popular south-Asian name OP. Not unusual at all

ButchyRestingFace · 09/09/2017 21:23

Oh. That isn't the reveal I was hoping for. Come back to this thread should you need help with a unique name for future children.

SavoyCabbage · 09/09/2017 21:24

It can't be Farrah. Nobody could think Farrah wasn't an actual name. Confused

myshinynewusername · 09/09/2017 21:24

I thought it was going to be something amazingly wacky.

I feel so betrayed. Grin
