AIBU to sack cleaner after Dettol spillage and she didn't tell me???

We have just got home after being away and our cleaner came yesterday.
She has spilled what seems to be an entire bottle of Dettol in the kids room, washed it, left it and didn't tell us.
Why it was being used in there I'm not sure, I think more likely she was carrying it and dropped it.
We got back, all windows shut and a boiling hot day today as could smell the Dettol stink as soon as we opened the front door.
I texted and asked and she said yes she has spilled in in our child's room but washed it so no stain and went home.
Surely the fumes are dangerous from Dettol?
We've opened the window and moved her in with us for tonight but how on earth do you get the smell out?
It absolutely stinks.

Well it had me choking when we opened the front door so I can't imagine it would be safe for a child to sleep in that room.
It's the fact she didn't even tell me despite my texting her to make sure all ok yesterday as we are away and she just replied " fine "

The smell would have built up through the day so she probably hadn't realised there would be a problem. The room probably just needs asked for a day or two.

My mother hasn't helped as when I called her she said there was a report of a man dying and it was never proven whether the Dettol was ingested or inhaled

You sound completely unreasonable to me and I would say she didn't tell you because she thought it was no biggy. I doubt the smell of Dettol is going to do anyone any harm. It's a nice clean smell.
