A friend posted on facebook the other day about having a work man other who pooed in her loo without asking. The comments were all saying how rude and disgusting it was. Some even saying to report him or that they would have kicked him out. Anyway I mentioned it to a friend who didn't see the problem. But I do think that it's rude aswell so aibu or is it rude not to ask?!

I would not have an issue with it. Where is he supposed to go? If uou need you need. When uou start getting precious about who shits in your loo it's time to give your head a wobble. That's what loos are for.

cardibach · 24/08/2017 08:37

I'd be slightly confused if anyone in my house said something like 'Is it ok if I have a poo?' It's what toilets are for. It would be rude to leave it filthy, I'd expect them to leave it as they found it and open a window if necessary, but ask? No more than anyone else in my house has to ask.

Fruitcocktail6 · 24/08/2017 08:37

I don't think it's rude. It's a toilet, it's what it's for.

QuiteLikely5 · 24/08/2017 08:37

I would hate this but if you gotta go you gotta go! It's human nature

CharlieWork · 24/08/2017 08:37

😱😱😱

You want a grown adult to either not use the toilet or ask if they need a poo? As long as they clear up after themselves, what's the problem?

JustMumNowNotMe · 24/08/2017 08:38

Rude to have a poo?! Far ruder not to use the loo and shit yourself instead surely?!

WhooooAmI24601 · 24/08/2017 08:39

It's a toilet. He didn't shit in her bread bin. Ridiculous nonsense.

putdownyourphone · 24/08/2017 08:39

How do you ask to have a poo?!

coldcanary · 24/08/2017 08:39

What's he supposed to do, shove a cork in it? A workmans poo is no more disgusting than your friends poo and I would bet she wouldn't be too pleased if she was told she couldn't go when she needed to!
Some people are so precious.

Sirzy · 24/08/2017 08:39

Unless he left it a mess I really don't see the issue. It's a toilet and he used it as a toilet is meant to be used.

What else was he supposed to do? Hmm

hmmmum · 24/08/2017 08:39

It would surely be utterly bizarre for him to ask permission. "Can I poo in your toilet?" You honestly expect a grown adult to ask that question? What else are toilets for?

JustMumNowNotMe · 24/08/2017 08:39

Oh I missed the bit about asking!

You actually expect people to ask your permission to have a poo in your house?!! Shock

Dancingfairy · 24/08/2017 08:39

No not to ask for a poo lol to ask to use the toilet, not just go ahead. Surely you would ask to use anything in someone's house that isn't yours and the person is not a friend/family member?

CupOfTeaAndABourbon · 24/08/2017 08:39

I don't think it's rude.

Perhaps he could have said "Do you mind if I use your toilet?" but then I guess if she'd said "No" he'd have been fucked so maybe he didn't want to take the risk.

If he left skidders all over the place, that's rude and I'd have no problem calling him back in to clean up after himself.

coldcanary · 24/08/2017 08:40

And report him to who? The poo police? Grin

JeReviens · 24/08/2017 08:40

Since when did taking inventory of what people do in the toilet become a thing? It's a toilet ffs - that's what it's for.
Now what WOULD be rude is if he took a dump on her patio and stuck some fairy lights on top by way of a trophy. That would be rude.

MarcelineTheVampire · 24/08/2017 08:40

@coldcanary Grin

In MN's world, workmen (& there are always men) should drive 20 miles to the nearest tesco and do their business there.

AnnetteCurtains · 24/08/2017 08:41

He is supposed to tell her that he that he wants a poo ?
Ask her permission to poo ?
Its a poo
He is not mainlining
Jesus wept ....

JuicyStrawberry · 24/08/2017 08:41

If he flushed the toilet and didn't leave skid marks then what's the issue?

Istoletherainbow · 24/08/2017 08:41

I don't understand. Would she have been as annoyed if it was just a wee? Presuming he asked to use the toilet anyway.... I wouldn't expect someone to ask permission to do a poo!

That would be weird.

Doyouthinktheysaurus · 24/08/2017 08:41

How can you ask if you can do a Poo in someone else's loo? I'd want the ground to open up and swallow me if someone asked my permission to poo in my toilet!

Dancingfairy · 24/08/2017 08:41

Yes Ofcourse I expect people to ask to use my toilet!! I have an engineer coming today. The work he is doing is downstairs if he just got up and went up my stairs I would wonder what he was doing. Luckily I've always had people ask. As it's just polite.
