Well this didn't happen did it op? I think somebody has been paying a little holiday visit to bolllockstown.

So cynical for one so middle aged. 😥

rightwhine · 07/08/2017 14:44

Eh?

squattingposition · 07/08/2017 14:44

Literally nobody takes their back door keys on holiday...they must be lying around somewhere...

You couldn't be feeding the fish without knowing the alarm code.....so use it.

StealthPolarBear · 07/08/2017 14:44

Well if the op is a cat the food situation seems straight forward

Lasagna · 07/08/2017 14:44

If you think this isn't real then report it and move on instead of loads of you saying the same thing Hmm

How exactly did they expect you to feed the fish if they set the alarm and didn't give you any keys?

youhavetobekidding · 07/08/2017 14:45

If they've set the alarm, you must have set it off by now?

ButchyRestingFace · 07/08/2017 14:46

DO THEY HAVE A LANDLINE??

If so, call your local friendly constabulary. They probably think they've heard it all but they may not have...

BarbaraofSeville · 07/08/2017 14:46

Alarm must have gone off by now. Are there any spare keys for either doors or windows that you could climb out of?

You need keys to open a lot of doors from the inside, ours certainly do.

Our windows are usually locked too, but we just leave the keys on the window sills and then the cats knock them off and they disappear down the tiny gap between the carpet and the skirting board.

LorLorr2 · 07/08/2017 14:47

Eh? Does their door not open from inside?

KindergartenKop · 07/08/2017 14:47

Are there any scones left?

Groovee · 07/08/2017 14:47

Omg!

youarenotkiddingme · 07/08/2017 14:47

Oh dear Shock

Minkyfluffster · 07/08/2017 14:47

just leave, the alarm company will have a number for someone

user1471459936 · 07/08/2017 14:48

OP said the neighbours are rather elderly (80s). Maybe they were confused?

squeaver · 07/08/2017 14:48

If you're in the house, why hasn't the alarm gone off?

But, on the off chance this is real...

Find the alarm box - in the cupboard under the stairs probably - and phone the alarm company. Their phone number will be on the box They will have the contact number for your neighbours , or whoever their nominated keyholder is. They might phone the police as well but you're just going to have to explain to them.

BlueKarou · 07/08/2017 14:48

Are there keys for the windows? Mine are usually blu tack'd to the window frame so they don't get lost.

Otherwise you're going to have to start going through the kitchen drawers.

Not placemarking, definitely not...

user1471459936 · 07/08/2017 14:48

Look in kitchen drawer for keys?

HarrietKettleWasHere · 07/08/2017 14:49

They don't even have a patio door that could be opened? Really? And yeah no way they've taken front and back door keys on holiday Confused

IdoHaveAName · 07/08/2017 14:49

See if you can find a phone charger to keep us updated Get your friend to put one through utility room window.

NancyDonahue · 07/08/2017 14:49

I'm assuming the alarm is set to go off only if a door is opened? Ours can be set to that only so the cat doesn't set it off.

Ofthread · 07/08/2017 14:49

YABU having a poo in the neighbours' house. MN rules.

KeiraKnightleyActsWithHerTeeth · 07/08/2017 14:50

Re the "does the door not open from the inside" posts - none of mine do without a key.

Still Hmm

NancyDonahue · 07/08/2017 14:50

Call the coach company via landline?

MyOtherNameIsAFordFiesta · 07/08/2017 14:50

Get your friend to post a charger through the letterbox for a start. Then poke around and see whether you can find an address book. Or go to their phone and see whether it has numbers saved in the memory. If you're desperate, try hitting redial - they might have phoned their daughter just before leaving, just to say they were leaving, and said daughter will be able to help.

I agree that the alarm code will be in the address book, semi-encoded.
