Anything written on a calendar in the kitchen maybe?

Never mind the keys - find a bloody phone charger or you won't be able to post! Have they left a laptop or tablet?

Look in their drawers for a spare phone charger so at least you've got Mumsnet for the week?

OP - do they have a house phone? Are they renters, can you call the estate agent? If they've only just moved in, do you remember the name on the board?

I think they may not have heard you ask to use the loo and just assumed you'd left, so locked up and left in a hurry.

Open the door and leave. It doesn't have to be a drama of sorts unless you like that kind of thing in which case crack on.

You don't have a phone number for either if them. Surely there must be a key as they were giving you one so you could feed the fish?!

If they set the alarm and you were going to feed their fish surely you would need to know it to gain access to feed the fish....
