😱 without a doubt the biggest spider I've seen, when it was on the wall with its legs all spread out it was as big as the cup. I'm dying thinking about where it might have been crawling all night

That must be related to the enormous fucker I found in my shower at 2am one year.

Oh god.

We had one like that once, it came from under the bed. My husband actually went at it with a base ball bat. He missed and I'm not kidding the spider tried to rush him.

He missed hitting it in his panic. The spider stopped, then ran at him. Never seen anything like it. Was the stuff of nightmares.

This thread needs a trigger warning.

Ffs! I did not expect to be faced with that.

Ah, but just think how clean your house will be of all of the other, really nasty bugs you don't want in your home!! Grin

I love spiders! I'd rather have a couple of them 'on patrol' than a house crawling with creepy crawlies I don't like!

Spiders really don't want to be anywhere near people (and the thing about eating x number of spiders in your sleep is a total myth! Wink) so you really have nothing to worry about.

Please don't hurt him!!

I don't mind spiders. I was told once that they prefer clean houses so it's a sign that your house is clean. Grin

Bloody hell thats a big bugger isn't it! I think the only thing for it is to let it have the house.

Report

VladmirsPoutine · 28/07/2017 09:07

Babywearinggeek · 28/07/2017 09:08

Gin for breakfast! That's awful 🙈 Had one like this at a holiday cottage we often stay at. It disappeared before we could kill it. When we go back I still worry it's going to come and crawl on me while I sleep 😩

Report

JustDontGetItAtAll · 28/07/2017 09:08

Please kill it! Immediately!!!!!! BURN IT!!!!!!! Then cover every inch of your house in Ant Powder, leave the house for a few days to a week then vacuum house within an inch of it's life!!!!!!!!!

Fuck that. Burn the house down. And run.... like the wind.

I was at my parents and noticed a big spider above their back door - in the frame. Mum hit it with a bamboo stick and I swear to god, it must have been your spider's brother. It was HUGE.

Report

Bearfrills · 28/07/2017 09:10

I don't like spiders but please don't kill it, it's done nothing to hurt you.

Go post it through the letterbox of someone you don't like much instead.

PickettBowtruckles · 28/07/2017 09:10

Sorry, OP. The only reasonable thing to do here is burn your house down. And all the belongings inside it.

Good luck house hunting ;)

He's massive but he can't help being a spider. Take him down the road and release him. I now have spider itch paranoia. Noticed quite a few more about recently

Report

SlothMama · 28/07/2017 09:12

I'm sorry but the only sensible thing to do at this point is burn the house down.
