😱 without a doubt the biggest spider I've seen, when it was on the wall with its legs all spread out it was as big as the cup. I'm dying thinking about where it might have been crawling all night

My son (21 yrs old and 6ft 4!!) just screamed 'Mum' from upstairs - there was a spider of similar proportions on his towel!!!! He hoovered it up - I know its cruel but i just cant cope with them at that size - why do they need so many legs?!!!!

May I borrow your spider, daisy if you won't miss the handsome fellow ?

I was wondering if he might eat moths, which are plaguing me.
Anyone know ?

I've no fear of insects, but the moth invasion keep crawling into my water glass and I dislike crunchy / slithery drinks that won't keep still when going down.

Eezergoode spiders don't really like being outside, they're looking for a mate. The '5' massive spiders you found were probably infact one insistant horny spider that kept coming back. Kill it next time.

I like spiders- not as pets but as skittery little helpers munching up all the flies! Smile

As someone with a phobia (birds), I feel very sorry for people who are terrified of spiders. That sickening rush of panic that takes your breath away is just awful.

We have loads of spiders, and I rather like them, except for the bloody webs that hang off every wall and ceiling in my house.

My cat brought us this once Shock It's a a camel spider and was as big as my hand.. cat had it in its mouth and ran off with it, later found it dead. I do like spiders but thank christ he didn't leave this on my pillow as a present. Imagine waking up being eye to eye with this... Shock

This is Herbert the Pervert. He is stuck between the window and flyscreen on the bathroom window. We can't get him out easily so we just leave him. Looking at us as we shower. Hmm

We found a squashed mouse in our little shed/outhouse thing last week, my morbid kids wanted to touch it, but if you threaten them with a spider they bolt Wink

Upyourdaisy - don't worry, that's not attack stance, it still has its palps/pedipalps on the floor. It's just feeling its way around in the prison it's in. IF it was in attack stance, it would be reared up on its back legs like this

They were three separate spiders daisy (I think) They were quite timid but really didn't like them hanging out in my house. I've since moved and haven't seen any recently but they were proper beauties. Unlike your freaky cartoon mechanical spider!

I like spiders but that's not a spider! It's a spider/flamingo hybrid (spybrid?)

I used to live next to a banana plantation and got some big hairy fuckers in my house - I used to carefully capture them and release them outside but one persistent bugger kept coming back. Cats were useless and would ignore them Hmm

This will put me, but ah well. I was driving a bus, complete with a shit load of passengers along a large fairly fast rural route in Scotland. Felt an itch. Looked down at my hand and a big spider much like the OP has posted a pic of, was clinging to the back of my hand! I don't mind spiders unless they're on my body. And while steering 13 tons of coach at 40mph there was fuck all I could do except pray it didn't crawl up my sleeve! Found a place to stop and an elderly man kindly grabbed it off my extended hand 😂
