And DP parents were 41 when they had him and they've been able to provide a hell of a lot for him x

firawla · 26/07/2017 22:33

Not out of ordinary

toosexyforyahshirt · 26/07/2017 22:33

Who is going to be shocked by that?

My first thoughy would be "why are you telling me how old you are?"

Neolara · 26/07/2017 22:33

Round here, it's completely normal.

lmer · 26/07/2017 22:33

Ages alone nothing. Reading comments about wanting a 3rd- damn that would be exhausting (not related to ages tho)

squoosh · 26/07/2017 22:34

I wouldn't give their ages a thought to be honest. Normal these days for first time parents and normal 80 years ago for 7th time parents.

glitterglitters · 26/07/2017 22:34

Same age as my parents when they had me Smile

QuentinSummers · 26/07/2017 22:34

Whevs
Way more interesting to you than it will be to anyone else

Windbeneathmybingowings · 26/07/2017 22:34

I'm 36, DP 41. We expect no 3 in 8 days. I expect it'll be alright. FWIW I often get spoken down to by women who perceive themselves to be far older and therefore wiser than me so I can't say all these kids have aged me too badly. Maybe kept me young in fact! Grin

gillybeanz · 26/07/2017 22:34

Normal in these days.
We were both 38 with number 3.
Lots of people commented about the age gap of the kids more than our age.
Was mistaken for dd's grandma when she started reception, but the other mothers were about 20, honestly.

Xmasbaby11 · 26/07/2017 22:35

I was 35 and 37 and DH 45 and 47. So about the same.

I'm not saying it's easy having kids that late, but for most couples it isn't as if they've been together 20 years and chosen to wait; they usually haven't met until later or may have had fertility issues.

So I would think they had a reason to be having dc late. But that's about it.

coffeecoffee14 · 26/07/2017 22:35

Normal!

This was my parents. My mother was 40 and my dad 47!

BertieBotts · 26/07/2017 22:36

Completely normal? Wouldn't even notice TBH.

BigApple11 · 26/07/2017 22:36

Just do it.

early30smum · 26/07/2017 22:37

Completely normal!

TheFreaksShallInheritTheEarth · 26/07/2017 22:37

Younger than DH and I (41 and 46) when we had our last DC!

Couldn't care less if people judge us!

coffeecoffee14 · 26/07/2017 22:37

Oh I was #3 for my mum and #4 for my dad.

LucyLocketLostIt · 26/07/2017 22:38

Fairly normal.

TempsPerdu · 26/07/2017 22:38

Nothing remarkable! I'm currently expecting DC1 at 37. DP is 43.

Teddy1970 · 26/07/2017 22:38

My mum had my sister at 47 and that was back in the 70s! I think it would have been shocking then, but now? No one bats an eyelid

tomatopuree · 26/07/2017 22:38

I was 37 Hub 48.... not a big deal. I don't give a hoot what other folk think. I love my family

VeryButchyRestingFace · 26/07/2017 22:39

Wouldn't turn a hair. Smile

My mother was 36 and my father 37 when they had me (no 2) way back in the late 70s.

They were a a decade older than many of my friends parents then, but still far from unique.

Good luck with whatever you decide. 🍀

GinaFordCortina · 26/07/2017 22:40

It's a pointless question op because it depends entirely on how you feel. Personally it's a great bit hell no from me as three is exhausting in a very special way that two isn't but I'm not sure why Hmm I've seen articles that claim you're better off with four than three for various reasons but I'm not prepared to take that risk....

KC225 · 26/07/2017 22:41

Me 42 and DH 43 when twins were born

acapellagirl · 26/07/2017 22:41

Normal and has always been
