Apparently the whole country is waiting to celebrate her birthday (according to ITV)
Well Dh certainly isn't!
He was a big fan when he was a lad, and went to see her in a pantomime.
Waiting at the stage door after the show for an autograph with other star struck youngsters, she came out and told them all to Piss Off and clear off home Shock
He said she was the most horrible, rude person and that he never watched her in anything again.
Which celebs have you met that didn't match up to the pedestal you had them on?

Jessica Ennis is a delight, never too busy for her young (and old) fans. The creepiest one I ever met was Jimmy Savile. At the time I was shouted down for saying what an awful sleazebag he was but it seems I was right after all!

most of the older country music folks were very nice
willy nelson was outstanding considering what my friend did.
her dh was a tattoo artists/for a reason i have never grasped/my friend had a tattoo of willy on her thigh just a headshot.
dont get me wrong a very nice piece well executed etc
we went back stage so she could meet him.
he wandered over shook hands and she asks point blank
"will you sign my tattoo"
i suppose he thought it was on her back or someplace less ummm
he says "sure" she peels down her skintight jeans and hands him a sharpie.
his recovery was great,gracious even.and laughing til tears came.
he autographed her leg and she went home to have it tattooed over.

I used to cringe when I saw him (Bill Oddie) on Springwatch, he couldn't even maintain the pretence of being nice for the hour!

Chris Martin was friendly, but this was also about 17 years ago, while Coldplay were supporting a band called Terris (who?!) with a crowd of fewer than 50 people.

I know members of Radiohead: nice.

Used to live near a few celebs: Damian Lewis, Charlie Higson, Suggs, all seemed okay. Damian Lewis' kids were cute and he was being a lovely dad.

Macca was pretty rude.

Organised a corporate conference where I had to sit next to Lord Robert Winston who was a thoroughly lovely chap. John Leslie on the other hand, was an arrogant buffoon who barged past my 5'1 frame without so much as an 'excuse me'!

Love Kate Bush. Lucky to see her on her tour a few years ago. She radiated niceness speaking between the songs.

Jimmy Osmond was lovely and friendly when I met him waitressing many years ago. I got his autograph and he was so lovely.

I'd cut celebs a bit of slack for being offish when asked for autographs in restaurants/out shopping etc - it must be tiresome for even the best of them. Everyone has bad days I suppose.

But I don't like to hear the ones who are rude to restaurant staff etc - that's bad form and would really put me off them.

David Tennant is lovely for signing loads of autographs after his performances - there's loads of videos on YT.

Glad to hear Terry Wogan was lovely - I loved him

I worked in a department store 16 years ago and Katie price was very rude to people in a dodgy puffa jacket I did laugh when in the staff canteen one of the ladies on lingerie said how she was haggling for money off some shop soiled but already reduced underwear

Dylan Moran - very quiet, very polite, gave me a rather charming smile when I didn't charge him for his enormous glass of wine.

Our friends met Jimmy Carr at Glastonbury and said he was an absolute gentleman to the hordes of people that were asking for his attention.

DH has just informed me that he met Bruce Parry (BBC documentary adventurer/tribes) at Glastonbury after I went to bed one night, said he was lovely and happy to pose for a photo as long as DH toned his excitement down a bit and didn't draw anymore attention to him 😁

These experiences are so interesting. So glad Hugh Grant was nice, and Mark Rylance and Ricky Gervais. Love them. Surprised but pleased about Jeremy Paxman and Zoe Ball.
As for Barbra Windsor - couldn't care less about her.
Actually I have never asked for an autograph and never would. Once sat in a Dublin restaurant at the table next to Kiefer Sutherland. He was on his own and drank a lot. Seemed to know the staff and was nice to them.

Very disappointed to hear Ben Fogle was rude . He is always my ideal man as I thought he was so nice , sensitive ,kind and charming !

For all those motorbike fans...I served Joey Dunlop in a bar eons ago and didn't know him from Adam. When I told him it was last orders he said indignantly "don't you know who I am?"...Nope, not a clue HmmHis blonde lady friend (not his wife) told me who he was. Still zero fucks given and I refused to serve him any more drink Grin

I was involved with a Scout/Guide jamboree held at Chatsworth when Princess Margaret came to tour the site. Apparently she's Chief Guide or something, and absolutely everyone had accounts of the offence she'd caused at previous events

This seemed a bit unlikely ... until she arrived and snubbed most of the youngsters presented to her, showed very obvious boredom at every display, curled her lip at the lovely tea offered and refused to take part in a presentation as she "had a headache"

I didn't like Ashley Roberts, then I met her and she was so nice and polite I had to change my mind.

David Emmanuel was very polite and lovely.

Kian from Westlife was nice and posed for photos but seemed quite shy and probably keen to get away.

I don't have bad ones as haven't met many celebs but love finding out. Very disappointed about Billy Connolly. I love him.

My daughter comes into contact with a lot of celebrities due to her job. Her favourite is Kate Moss, she said she was so lovely and down to earth, very chatty, Dougray Scott is a great laugh and Gerard Butler is lovely. On the other hand a Strictly 'older' professional was a downright rude asshole who thinks he's above everyone.

Oh, and Will Young was adorable. We bumped into him in the pub with his dogs and he chatted to DS1 and his little friend (they were 2 at the time Grin) and had a lovely selfie with them

I met Jimmy Carr after one of his gigs about 5/6 years ago. He was signing autographs/posing for pictures in the lobby of the venue. When me and DH got our turn he looked at DH, looked at me and said to DH "You're punching above your weight mate!" Grin

No doubt he says the exact same thing to every couple he meets, but it made my night and I was Grin for days after!

Not really a celebrity but Jay Aston is horrible, rude and self obsessed. Her husband is lovely though and their dog is cute.
