To think one bath/shower a day is perfectly adequate in the UK?

I can even understand twice a day especially when it is hot or after exercising.
I did think DH was a bit odd for bathing at least two times a day without fail (even in winter) but DSS showers three times a day! I think it's insanity.

So a personal question to you all - how often do you bathe/shower and AIBU?

But I'm in Australia. I'd still shower twice if I lived elsewhere though. I find a shower in the morning refreshing, and I cannot sleep if I haven't showered in the evening (and i hate the thought of going to bed "dirty").

I agree - but how old is your stepson? If he's recently become self conscious, he probably will want to wash more often.

Lots of people like twice a day. Morning one to wash off any sweat from during the night, and evening one to wash off the grime and sweat from throughout the day. I don't think it's strange, but I know just as many people will just have one day.

I wouldn't have time for more than once a day!

Usually a shower in the morning and a soak in the bath before bed.

One shower in the morning for me. And occasionally I jump in the bath with my 5 month old in the evening for skin to skin cuddles.

Everyday without fail, very occasionally twice if it's really hot, or if I'm sweaty/hot from exercise. I don't think twice is abnormal, though. I'd say any less than every other day is a bit grim.

Queen luckily we are not. I'm not sure what DH or DSS would do in that case.

Twice a day, 3 when I lived abroad

I think that's fine, I shower twice a day if I'm going out, once if I'm not. I have a proper shower before I go out where I either wash all over properly or wash my hair properly, and then a quick one at night just to wash my face. I can't sleep if I don't have a shower. The days I don't go out I slob about (doing housework, so no point in having a shower just to get dirty) then have a proper shower at night. Your mileage may vary.

I'm once a day usually unless very hot or whatever.

DH - first thing and after gardening or diy. So last couple of weeks he was gardening and was having 3 a day - first thing, before lunch and when finished for the day.

DS first thing, after any exercise and sometimes before bed. So sometimes 3 a day also.

Smudged I imagine your skin is really good. I've always been told too much bathing is bad for it.

I'm far too sweaty a person to do that unfortunately.

Dh showers at night as he's up at 5am,I shower first thing but ds who is 16 is averaging 3 a day atm

I always shower twice a day. I like feeling fresh in the morning and to feel clean at night before I get into bed.

Shower every morning without fail, and often a second shower or bath in the evening. I couldn't bear not to shower in the morning!

I would LOVE to shower every day, but I'm allergic to hard water, so I shower and wash my hair every other day. A shower every day makes my skin very dry. I have a bidet shower though and don't smell.

When I'm on holiday in a hot country, I revel in the water and shower 3 times a day. Or in a soft water area like Manchester.
