AIBU to want all my money back?

My son wanted a green hoodie so I went on amazon and ordered him one. This is for the school disco and it is important that it is neon green.

Received the "neon green" hoodie today and it is actually yellow so I contacted them to say I received the wrong item.

They're telling me the yellow one I have received is green and that if I want to return it I'll have to pay the return postage myself and they'll refund my money once they've received it back.

It was only £7.99 so I probably won't bother, especially as the return postage will cost a fair chunk of that. But AIBU to think it is incredibly cheeky to send me the wrong item, try to convince me I'm colour blind and have actually received the correct item, and then try and make me pay for return postage???

lol that's a silly comparison.

If I order a beige table and receive a cream table then yes, I would pay for return as I'm not happy with the colour and understand that colours may vary from a computer screen to another.

100% yellow!

YABU if it's already stated on the listing that buyer is to pay for return postage.

Sellers are obliged by law to cover postage if there is a fault, and I presume 'having sent the wrong item', as this could be seen, would also oblige them to cover the costs of rectifying the issue. The OP needs to be 'made whole', it is not her error and she should not be left out of pocket.

No idea what you're talking about. The people are right because the top is obviously green and not yellow.

The people are right because the top is obviously green and not yellow.

And that is obviously not true.

Also yellow! DS was bitterly disappointed as his favourite colour is green and he'd used his birthday voucher to buy it. I felt terrible so I gave him the cash back but didn't return as like you, didn't feel it was worth it once I'd paid to return.

Bit late on this but it is definitely worth hunting through the amazon website to find the "contact us" live chat - I spent £12 (which I must admit I thought was cheap) for a pack of 12 ring binders (usually about £25). I received ONE. Luckily the advert was still up so I took a screen shot of it, I spoke to Amazon and explained where the listing stated "box of 12" and they refunded me and told me not to bother sending it back, they would sort it with the seller.

So I feel I've given the seller enough time to reply to me asking them to pay return postage, they've been very silent.
I've now contacted amazon directly via email so hoping they'll help.

Green or yellow what did amazon say? Deffo yellow- however I thought neon green until you did the highlighter test!

Sorry if this is raising a slight zombie Wink
