AIBU to want all my money back?

My son wanted a green hoodie so I went on amazon and ordered him one. This is for the school disco and it is important that it is neon green.

Received the "neon green" hoodie today and it is actually yellow so I contacted them to say I received the wrong item.

They're telling me the yellow one I have received is green and that if I want to return it I'll have to pay the return postage myself and they'll refund my money once they've received it back.

It was only £7.99 so I probably won't bother, especially as the return postage will cost a fair chunk of that. But AIBU to think it is incredibly cheeky to send me the wrong item, try to convince me I'm colour blind and have actually received the correct item, and then try and make me pay for return postage???

It's green but not the green in the amazon picture. Did seller have a clause in description saying colour may appear different to photo, as I've seen that before. Still disappointing for you though.

Was just about to find some to photograph.
Definitely yellow and therefore the advert is misleading.

It looks a yellow with a hint of greenish to it. I'd definitely want a refund. If it's differs from the image they should st leader put in the description that it airs on the side of yellow.

Looks highlighter yellow to me whereas the sample of fabric you overlaid is definitely green.

Initially I thought it looked green but when you put the pens on top I changed my mind. Contact the, again and tell them you want to return and are not paying for postage. You can also contact amazon regarding it

It looks yellow to me but then again dp and I argue about hivis jackets as I think they are yellow but he thinks green.

I'd contact Amazon and send them the photo with the highlighters on it. Tell them it is not as described and the seller disagrees.

It's yellow. I think you should send the seller the picture with the highlighter pens on top of it.

If they still won't refund leave then bad feedback and include the picture if you can on amazon (not sure if you can) but at least others have been warned.

I wonder how people have bought that and not returned because it's not worth the hassle / money.

Looks yellow to me too! What did you select as your reason for return from Amazon? Some of the options give free returns postage and some don't. Try description is not accurate or item not compatible with intended use. From memory those both give you free returns.

The hoodie is "highlighter yellow", the picture on Amazon is "highlighter green"

I thought it looked green-ishhhhh until you sent your further pics with the purse/highlighters and now I think it's definitely yellow.

Go on live chat with Amazon, they'll probably sort a pre paid returns label or just send a refund without having to send it back. It's definitely yellow based on the highlighter pic!

I had a similar thought, but mine was "tennis ball yellow".

OP - you get a "windo" for returns via Amazon, as far as I am aware. If you put in the reason for return is that you have been sent the wrong item, then that should (hopefully) meant that you can return it via their system and not have to pay.

Then leave a scathing comment (with photo) on the review page, and a similar comment on the seller's page.

Fascinating how the brain works - until the highlighter demo I'd have put money on it being green! But grudgingly I must accept that 'tis yellow!Envy
