AIBU to want all my money back?

My son wanted a green hoodie so I went on amazon and ordered him one. This is for the school disco and it is important that it is neon green.

Received the "neon green" hoodie today and it is actually yellow so I contacted them to say I received the wrong item.

They're telling me the yellow one I have received is green and that if I want to return it I'll have to pay the return postage myself and they'll refund my money once they've received it back.

It was only £7.99 so I probably won't bother, especially as the return postage will cost a fair chunk of that. But AIBU to think it is incredibly cheeky to send me the wrong item, try to convince me I'm colour blind and have actually received the correct item, and then try and make me pay for return postage???

Op that colour is always going to be borderline but I would def stick it out with Amazon. Your highlighter pen pics convinced me!

For Live Chat, I think it's bottom of the page, click Help (should be very extreme right, last word on list), scroll to bottom, click on 'need more help?', then you'll see contact a bit further over right, click on it and it will as you to log in. Click on 'an order I placed' (box will go blue) and click on the relevant order, go down the page and you will see 'Tell us more about your issue'...choose the relevant options (there are two) and then go to the bottom of the page where you will see 'How would you like to contact us'. There is email, phone or chat, choose chat and go from there... Smile
You def shouldn't have to pay return postage. The seller needs to update pic or description.
I'm not sure what Am will do with you buying from a third party. If poss. always buy sold and dispatched by Amazon.

Looks more yellow than green to me.

ShmooBooMoo · 30/06/2017 16:30

Well, if that one review says yellow, that goes in your favour, even if they like it. I do think it looks decent for the money but that's not really the point, is it?

ShmooBooMoo · 30/06/2017 16:32

This is apparently safety green and looks more yellow than your hoodie.

I'd say it's closer to yellow than green-it's certainly not neon green.

needsomesunshineandwine · 30/06/2017 16:35

Looks yellow to me.

DailyMailReadersAreThick · 30/06/2017 16:36

It's obviously yellow.

I would call Amazon - their customer service is really good. No way you should have to pay postage to return an item that isn't as described.

AndNowItIsSeven · 30/06/2017 16:36

On the highlighter pic it looks half yellow and half green!

McWeedie · 30/06/2017 16:37

Can't you just click on return item and in the description say its not as described, I do this and always get a free return label.

Mrswinkler · 30/06/2017 16:39

It's the same colour as Hi Vis and that is yellow. I agree with you OP.

MrsWire · 30/06/2017 16:40

Looks yellow to me.

McWeedie · 30/06/2017 16:40

Ignore me just realised its a third party seller.

WhiskyIrnBru · 30/06/2017 16:42

It's yellow! It's a high vis kinda yellow. Y'all don't know your colours! Wink

Alittlepotofrosie · 30/06/2017 16:51

Its not the colour in the picture so surely she should be able to get a free return!

Rossigigi · 30/06/2017 16:55

Looks green to me- put something yellow against it....and photo....

Allthebestnamesareused · 30/06/2017 17:00

Its blue and white ;)

ManyManyShoes · 30/06/2017 17:06

This is so gonna go on DailyFail as the new 'is that dress blue or gold'!

ChanandlerBongsNeighbour · 30/06/2017 17:10

It's yellow. Not the same as the one in the ad.

P1nkSparkles · 30/06/2017 17:11

Another vote for yellow here.

ParadiseCity · 30/06/2017 17:11

It's as green as the Daily Mail is quality. Ie not at fucking all!!

kali110 · 30/06/2017 17:17

Id be saying to them its not as described and you'll be expecting them to send you a free returns label or you'll be contact amazon about them selling goods not as advertised.

kali110 · 30/06/2017 17:17

I'd also leave them a review stating it is nothing like the picture.

Catra · 30/06/2017 17:28

Green is my favourite colour but I never buy green items online any more - I've learned the hard way that for some reason it's a notoriously difficult colour to portray accurately on screen and I've subsequently ended up sending no end of items back because they've arrived looking a completely different shade of green from what I expected.

To me that fleece is undoubtedly green but far more at the yellow end of the spectrum to how it appears on Amazon.
