Might get crucified for this but....

She won.

She's had a lot to manage a response and a
Plan to deal with since she became PM.

I didn't vote for her. My partner did.

I feel a bit sorry for her.

Anyone else?

to paint himself as he thinks people want to see

I've watched PMQs and other Corbyn events. He does get it.

Orlantina · 17/06/2017 13:46

Austerity has got a lot to answer for.

Funding cuts, cost savings...

There is going to be a collapse in education, housing, social care and the NHS soon if funding cuts continue.

"Get" what, exactly? That this was a hideous tragedy? No brownie points for that.

That response sums up you and why you don't get it.

"She didn't go and meet the people - and I strongly suspect she didn't think she ought to"

YES SHE DID. She went yesterday. Stop spouting shite again and again - she went yesterday to meet people.

MonkeylovesRobot · 17/06/2017 13:50

HopefulMog Reported.

HopefulMog · 17/06/2017 13:52

"What is this current obsession with having to show your emotions in public, or it means you're a robot"

Actually Maybot has listened to her spin doctors as apparently May is distraught as anyone according to First Secretary of State Damian Green. See her own party picks up on it.

Actually.

HopefulMog · 17/06/2017 13:52

"HopefulMog Reported."
Cute

Orlantina · 17/06/2017 13:52

YES SHE DID. She went yesterday

After she was pushed.

Did she go on the day when she went to see the emergency services?

No

Did she go because there was a lot of pressure for her to go?

Yes.

Was she scared of meeting real people?

Yes.

HopefulMog · 17/06/2017 13:53

Can you hear the May fans getting more and more hysterical? Desperation, surely.

"Fuck off, Orlantina.

"

Yepp definitely worried.

JamieXeed74 · 17/06/2017 13:55

What is it with wanting politicians to muscle in on grief and face time with the victims on the news. If I was involved in a tragedy the last thing I would want is a stranger politician shoving me in front of a camera and telling me its all right.

Can slimy politicians just stop making awful events into how caring and compassionate they are.

HopefulMog · 17/06/2017 13:56

""Get" what, exactly? That this was a hideous tragedy? No brownie points for that"

That all British citizens matter not just the few.

dotandstripe · 17/06/2017 13:56

It's not her job to go there and get physically attacked by people who are looking for a target for their anger. Totally understand why she didn't meet people there during the first visit. The Queen was in a very different position, no one blames her for what happened.

MonkeylovesRobot · 17/06/2017 13:57

Orlantina You have no idea what is factually correct and what is not. You do not know that security was not the actual reason. You also do not know that she didn't want to go from Day 1.

"Can you hear the May fans getting more and more hysterical? Desperation, surely."

You are the only ones coming across as desperate - you can't even get basic facts correct.

Orlantina · 17/06/2017 13:58

thatdear

You don't get it. You don't get why there are many people who don't feel listened to. Who feel ignored. Who have had enough of austerity and who have a Government that doesn't give a shit.

I don't think she gets that. Corbyn is giving a voice to those people and she nor the rest of the Tory party get that.

By not going there as soon as possible to meet those people - in fact, by going to the site and NOT meeting the people (although she met the emergency services) demonstrates that she is clearly out of touch.

MonkeylovesRobot · 17/06/2017 13:59

"By not going there as soon as possible to meet those people - in fact, by going to the site and NOT meeting the people (although she met the emergency services) demonstrates that she is clearly out of touch."

No, not to everyone. It demonstrates there was a possible risk with security as was stated. No need for all these theories; it's a totally plausible reason that was given.

Orlantina · 17/06/2017 13:59

You have no idea what is factually correct and what is not

Did she meet the emergency services?
Yes. FACT

Did she meet the victims on the same day?
No FACT

Has she asked herself why people are angry?

I hope so. I really do.

Orlantina · 17/06/2017 14:01

It demonstrates there was a possible risk with security as was stated

And so suddenly the threat of terrorism went away the next day?

RibenaMonsoon · 17/06/2017 14:01

She's PM in a very difficult situation (brexit) and I don't think she did herself any favours calling for a general election. Blair gave up PM to Gordon Brown so it's been done before. I think she made her own life more difficult to be honest. But perhaps she was expecting a different outcome for the election.

Dawndonnaagain · 17/06/2017 14:01

And he didn't even wait until the fire was out before leaping on the "Tory Cuts" bandwagon.
On the bandwagon on New Years Eve 2014

paxillin · 17/06/2017 14:02

The irony is, had she been a little better in her campaign and won a majority of just 1, she'd be gone now. As it is, the Tories can't afford a leadership battle and they are in no shape for another GE. So they need her to soldier on.
