Might get crucified for this but....

She won.

She's had a lot to manage a response and a
Plan to deal with since she became PM.

I didn't vote for her. My partner did.

I feel a bit sorry for her.

Anyone else?

GrumpyoldBlonde · 16/06/2017 23:07

No, I feel so sorry for the suffering and struggling but not her.

She doesn't understand people, doesn't know how they think or feel. She's here to serve and lead not rule and ignore.

Maybe I feel sorry for her that she doesn't get that.

thegoodnameshadgone · 16/06/2017 23:08

I'm just not sure anyone else would of done any better or any worse than she has already so far that's all.

A lot has happened since the election.

Would anyone else have been any better.

I have had two moments where I thought people had treated her badly. First was back in the Tory leadership campaign when she had to justify not having had children. Second was when that footage of her standing alone at an EU meeting was circulated, because that seemed also overtly personal. Since she called the election, though, I can't say I have as the decisions she's made have been poor. Ultimately she has to take responsibility for those.

threesocksmorgan · 16/06/2017 23:09

FFS bullying\she has the power .

claraelsa · 16/06/2017 23:09

This woman has consistently shown herself incapable of and unwilling to talk to the people directly in this country - wether in TV debates or on site emergency ' meet the community in need' events.

I loathe her policies but I hate this insistence that public figures have to be warm and charismatic. That way Tony Blair lies. She's truly shit at connecting with the public but that's not the job she's elected to do. Just because Facebook demands heart warming memes, she shouldn't have to take her eye off the administrative ball.

I have no idea what benefit there would be in meeting her face to face when you've lost a loved one or your home. I'm sure local support would be much more beneficial.

TrollMummy · 16/06/2017 23:11

When she took office I was hopeful and wanted her to succeed. I thought as a female PM would bring a change to the Tory old boys club. When she came out with Grammar schools while other schools were screaming about funding I despaired. She screwed up big time by calling an ill timed election and running a campaign that showed she was totally out of touch with ordinary people.

Just watched her on Newsnight, she looks very rattled.

ajandjjmum · 16/06/2017 23:11

The Conservatives gained more votes than any other party - she's PM - that's democracy.

She's not good at showing how she feels - that doesn't make her evil.

She did not set fire to Grenfell Tower, nor does she know how many poor souls have perished. But apparently it's all her fault.

That tower had £10 million spent on it - the new Labour MP for the area worked for the management company until recently. This is not a party political issue - it is about poor decision making, and there must be many lessons to learn.

But that won't fit in with the leftist agenda - and on that basis, YANBU to feel a little sorry for her.

notknownatthisaddress · 16/06/2017 23:11

You're wasting your breath OP, nobody on MN has a good word to say about Theresa May. She;s an evil, baby killing, puppy torturing Tory, remember. Now Jeremy on the other hand, he's positively Christ-like. What a God of man! Isn't he just the best thing since sliced bread? (Didn't vote for either of them. Not a leftie.)

Agree with macarena ^ 100% bang on.

And YANBU at all OP.

I am actually really bored and pissed off with seeing the nasty shit written about Theresa May. It's pathetic. I saw people slagging her off on twatter yesterday for not attending Grenfell House, and she was a thoughtless cunt apparently. Now TODAY, the same people are spouting bile because she has gone there now! Saying 'attention seeking cow, doing it to look good.'

Fucking typical of these types. She could find a cure for cancer and they'd find something negative in it.

I feel sorry for her too OP. She cannot do right in the eyes of the lefties, and I am sick of them and their nasty poisonous views now, and as the poster I quoted said, Mr Corbyn is God! He can do no wrong no no no... No mention of him using the fire in the tower block to score political points against the Tories. The lefties are conveniently ignoring that.

I am also sick of them and their rallies and their ranting and their protests. May beat Corbyn hands down in the election. She got nearly 60 seats more than him! Even if Corbyn got together with the SNP and the Lib dems, he STILL wouldn't have a majority. She only needed 8 seats to get a majority. Yet they cannot accept this, and they keep throwing their toys about, and spitting out their dummy, like they did with the Brexit vote.

I OBVIOUSLY feel a lot more sorry for the people affected by the tragedy, before anyone fucking says anything. Hmm

Artofnoise1 · 16/06/2017 23:12

Is this a joke OP? she is a nasty piece of work, without any moral compass. She's getting everything she deserves and more.

thegoodnameshadgone · 16/06/2017 23:13

I'm not saying anyone should have a good word about her. Maybe my title was
Wrong.

Everything that has happened would of happened anyway.

She's not dealt with any of in the best way.

Just think maybe she's took on too much and now what. She prob never expected this.

OP posts:
QuiteLikely5 · 16/06/2017 23:13

I think she's had a rough ride. People are criticising her dreadfully over the London Fire but fgs she does not have instant access to a few hundred spare houses within the same vicinity over the space of a few hours!

She has made an extraordinary commitment to re house everyone within three weeks and provided 5 million in order to assist them between now and then!

People can blame her but really it solves nothing and helps no one

ajandjjmum · 16/06/2017 23:14

What do you know about her moral compass Artofnoise1?

Tapandgo · 16/06/2017 23:14

Nobody is talking about manufactured charisma - but coming down to a scene of such tragedy and ignoring the victims is quite unbelievable. If she is not capable of showing empathy and decency she is not fit to lead this country.

threesocksmorgan · 16/06/2017 23:16

oh dear is it cos she is a woman?
do we have to feel sorry for her cos of that?
she earns megga for her job, she can't do it. she should let someone else do it....simple
they will still be a tory, but might do better.

Boopboopboop · 16/06/2017 23:17

No. Is this the third thread about how we're supposed to feel sorry for Theresa May?

misskelly · 16/06/2017 23:17

I'm mystified as to how she got so far without the ability to connect with people. I alaways assume politicians spend a lot of time having to perform in front of different people to first get selected by the party and then elected. She has zero warmth/personality or charisma.

Acornantics · 16/06/2017 23:17

She has the toughest job in politics but she's failed time and time again in a very short time to step up to get role and be the Prime Minister that this country needs and deserves.

She shut the regional press put during her campaigns and therefore snubbed a huge majority of the country and she's failed to act immediately, responsibly and with selfless compassion to the recent horrific events in Manchester and London.

I don't for a minute think she's a terrible, awful, evil person but she's not fit for the office in which she stands.

ajandjjmum · 16/06/2017 23:18

Sarcasm and poor grammar really isn't a great way to win any argument.

Night all - thinking of those without their own beds tonight.

Shamefuldodger · 16/06/2017 23:19

I just had to send my brown envelope if doomoff, again.

I will probably be dragged in and interrogated by someone who has no medical knowledge of my disability, again.

Despite letters from my various consultants and medical professionals I will be made out to be a scrounging liar, again.

I have lost someone through suicide, directly because of the heartless way disabled people are being treated.

No, my heart doesn't bleed for MayBot 3000.

Highalert · 16/06/2017 23:19

She's took on to much?

She took on the role of PM. She should be the bloody PM.

MyOtherProfile · 16/06/2017 23:21

No sympathy for her here. She may have won the election but she lost the campaign and her own majority. She won because of the smear campaign against the left, and against Corbyn in particular, with papers consistently headlining crap about him. The media were behind her, and so were big businesses so of course she won. Her policies are cruel and the outworkings of them will affect millions of people. And she persistently refuses to meet Joe public, running from one secure setting to another. Absolutely no sympathy.

needsahalo · 16/06/2017 23:21

Feel, sorry for her why? She made a choice and it backfired. She is now on borrowed time. Refusing to meet with the Grenfell victims made her look dreadful because Corbyn got right in there. Again, her choice. She looked even more stupid when our 90+ year old queen managed to get out and be seen, have a bit of a meet and greet and ask questions, and be heard to say how sorry she was. People appreciate those of genuine privilege taking time out to look them in the eye, listen for 20 seconds and make the right noises. Even when we know they will go back to,their life of privilege, it just helps to know the pain and suffering hasn't gone unnoticed.

Theresa May needs to woman up (and probably find herself some sensible advisers) if she wants to remain in power. If the election had been next week, there is little room for doubt as to what would have happened.

ilovegin112 · 16/06/2017 23:22

I would rather have Theresa may who is a hard worker than point scoring Jew hating corbyn, when did it become the norm for people to go simpering and trying to outdo each over in the sympathy stakes
