Might get crucified for this but....

She won.

She's had a lot to manage a response and a
Plan to deal with since she became PM.

I didn't vote for her. My partner did.

I feel a bit sorry for her.

Anyone else?

"Meanwhile, the figurehead for hate is the only one that appears to be doing anything."

Calling an election that destabilised the country. Stirring up xenophobia and pretending to the British people that she is the tough girl that will bring get us the best possible deal whilst pursuing unsavoury alliances with the gay hating pro-life DUP and endangering the GFA.

FaithHopeCharityDesperation · 17/06/2017 13:19

whilst pursuing unsavoury alliances with the gay hating pro-life DUP and endangering the GFA.

Where was the outrage when Gordon Brown & Ed Miliband did the same?
(And I think David Cameron may have tried to aswell but don't know for sure).

Orlantina · 17/06/2017 13:20

Can the Theresa May supporters give some examples of why she is a good Prime Minister and has demonstrated leadership?

thatdearoctopus · 17/06/2017 13:20

HopefulMog, I think Faith was talking about this current situation.

HopefulMog · 17/06/2017 13:21

"erroneous assumptions"....
That most of us are much worse off under the Tories? Octo you sound all high and mighty. The tone of your posts is really patronising calm down dears, nothing to see.

thatdearoctopus · 17/06/2017 13:23

You've assumed that ... how, Hopeful.
You know nothing about me.

thatdearoctopus · 17/06/2017 13:24

You think a better response is to do what the media is doing and grab a pitchfork and jump up and down screaming that TM is a murderer and a coward?
How does that help anything?

The response is a symbol of the anger that is out there. Expressed in recent politics.

And her response just demonstrates how out of touch she is.

FaithHopeCharityDesperation · 17/06/2017 13:29

YY, I was talking about the current situation thatdear, the rest of it is the other stuff that she also is dealing with.

But apparently she's doing fuck all & should fuck off.

And yet, she is the only politician who seems to actually be doing anything tangible at all.

Where the fuck is Sadiq Khan?
Why isn't the London Mayor all over this?
Why is there still no coordination on the ground?
(Not emergency services, they're as tight & in control as ever, but the services that are required & desperately needed by the victims).

HopefulMog · 17/06/2017 13:29

When those in power do not care nor listen pitchforks can be effective. You say mob, I say the people.

FaithHopeCharityDesperation · 17/06/2017 13:31

I get it... tinsy maybot helpers are trying to put a positive spin on this shit storm though not very convincingly.

What a pathetic & trite post.

This whole shitstorm is entirely political.
But it is not Party political.

They're all culpable.

Orlantina · 17/06/2017 13:35

And yet, she is the only politician who seems to actually be doing anything tangible at all

She didn't fucking go and meet people. Sadiq Khan did. Corbyn did.

She didn't. And that just adds to the narrative that she has no people skills. She wants scripted, stage managed events. Put her on the spot and confront her with reality and she fails.

I would expect her to release funds and to announce an qnquiry.

thatdearoctopus · 17/06/2017 13:36

And her response just demonstrates how out of touch she is.

"Her response?" So you've decided that because she didn't weep and wail and promise the earth (as Corbyn likes to do, when he knows he won't be called upon to actually deliver), she doesn't care and is out of touch?
Who knows, she might be. I don't know the woman. I've read reports that she sobbed in private when she got back from her visit. That may or may not be true. But had she done so in public, she'd also have been ripped apart.

What is this current obsession with having to show your emotions in public, or it means you're a robot?

HopefulMog · 17/06/2017 13:36

"They're all culpable."

No they are not. It is the current government that is responsible for all the shit that has happened over the last two years. I j sit say one word Brexit.

But you keep believing you are a sensible caring informed citizen and support a party that does not just worsen social inequality but that is utterly incompetent at governing the country. She is not a leader but a marionette.

thatdearoctopus · 17/06/2017 13:38

She wants scripted, stage managed events.

That's almost funny. You don't think Corbyn's visit was stage-managed?!!! He must have been wetting himself when the opportunity arose for him to put his arm round that woman in front of a camera.

Orlantina · 17/06/2017 13:38

So you've decided that because she didn't weep and wail and promise the earth

I don't expect that. I would have expected her to meet the victims when she went to see what had happened.

There are no excuses for that.

Orlantina · 17/06/2017 13:39

thatdear

You think that was stage managed. You don't think he 'gets it' - unlike May?

thatdearoctopus · 17/06/2017 13:39

I would expect her to release funds and to announce an enquiry.

Erm, isn't that exactly what she's done? Hmm

thatdearoctopus · 17/06/2017 13:40

Orlantina, I don't think that the media coverage we've seen proves one way or the other that JC "gets it" and TM doesn't.

Orlantina · 17/06/2017 13:41

What is this current obsession with having to show your emotions in public, or it means you're a robot

You don't have to show your emotions- but you should be able to get it.

Did you see her on Question Time with that nurse? Her response clearly showed she doesn't get it.

thatdearoctopus · 17/06/2017 13:42

I think that, finally, JC has listened to his spin doctors and has gone out of his way, since part-way through his election campaign, to paint himself as he thinks people want to see.

That's what I saw on his visit to Grenfell Tower.

Orlantina · 17/06/2017 13:43

Erm, isn't that exactly what she's done

Yes, I know that..You lose 'tone' on the internet

She has done the bare minimum expected. Released funds and announce an enquiry.

She didn't go and meet the people - and I strongly suspect she didn't think she ought to. I suspect the media pressure forced her to go and meet 'real people' who are angry with her.

FaithHopeCharityDesperation · 17/06/2017 13:44

But you keep believing you are a sensible caring informed citizen

Fuck you.

thatdearoctopus · 17/06/2017 13:44

And he didn't even wait until the fire was out before leaping on the "Tory Cuts" bandwagon.
