Grenfell should not have happened. Austerity, cost cutting, ignoring the poor, helping the rich get richer, all this led to the horrific circumstances.

Tory response? Theresa May didnt even speak to the survivor residents. A tory minister cited security reasons, yet the Queen managed to come out and talk to the residents without issue.

Tories have form for voting against safety issues in housing. All to benefit the wealthy. It is utterly shameful that these are the people that run our country, who care only for the rich.

Not as afraid as those with no homes and in tower blocks though eh?

Catminion · 18/06/2017 07:37

Creampasty you are talking shit. The KCTMO is controlled by RBKC and carries out its policy of treating tenants like low life scum.

The MP was Tory until two weeks ago. The council is TORY.

LotusBomb · 18/06/2017 07:38

Of course it's political. People don't want to examine their own behaviour so they will insist it is not, but it is.

This. I'd like to say I'm shocked by how many people can make the separation, but I'm not.

TheWitchAndTrevor · 18/06/2017 07:40

Oh I sense panic panic panic, coming from you Grin another

LotusBomb · 18/06/2017 07:40

As for housing, it was reported that Jeremy Corbyn wants the vacant properties of wealthy people in the area to be ceased and used to rehouse the ex-residents of Grenfell. If you consider the slippery slope here, we should all be very afraid.

There is more to that and you know it. And if you don't know it, don't speak on it. Unbelievable.

Anotheroneofthese · 18/06/2017 07:43

The Witch, so why is Michael Portillo's view or name of such great importance? I could name you other 'important' politicians, current and past, that are part of the majority.

The resudents of Grenfell should be equally afraid and worried by Jeremy Corbyn's call because the long term impact would be a disaster for the entire country including for their children and grand children.

Anotheroneofthese · 18/06/2017 07:43

What is the more Lotus. You speak about it.

FinallyThroughTheRoof · 18/06/2017 07:44

Wow. Yes their imminent priority should be to be afraid at the thought of them having some accommodation.

Twattiest posts I have seen on here in a while the.

*tbh

Anotheroneofthese · 18/06/2017 07:44

Panic about what?

TheWitchAndTrevor · 18/06/2017 07:47

What majority another?

You said it was a minority of people who thought TM lacked humanity.

So you saying that a lot of that minority are actually also conservative MPs.

Anotheroneofthese · 18/06/2017 07:49

Finally, this is the problem. Blind the people with myopic rubbish and then leave the entire place, including them, in a worse situation. Is it necessary to violate property rights (the bastion of civil society) to rehouse the people of Grenfell tower? Is that the only option? Jeremy Corbyn wants to whip up emotions about the rich versus poor. Many people don't even know who is rich and who is poor.

Anotheroneofthese · 18/06/2017 07:50

The Witch, sorry but I don't know what you are talking about.

TheWitchAndTrevor · 18/06/2017 07:50

Many people don't even know who is rich and who is poor

Yes it's clear you don't.

olliegarchy99 · 18/06/2017 07:50

mucky
She cut the police forces and that could have prevented the manchester bombing, she cuts the fire brigade that may have got there quicker and moreof them to savemore lives, but no they cant cause she has cut all the services to the knuckle!
Have you listened to yourself.? You really are full of hate and lashing out with false accusations. Anyone would think the prime minister had personally overseen this tragedy. She is trying to do the sensible supportive thing and ranting and raving does not help.

FinallyThroughTheRoof · 18/06/2017 07:51

He considered it as an option.

I'd consider human right to be housed the bastion of civil society

kittybiscuits · 18/06/2017 07:51
Hmm
Anotheroneofthese · 18/06/2017 07:52

No Witch, I don't know. Do you? Tell me who are the rich and who are the poor.

FinallyThroughTheRoof · 18/06/2017 07:52

If she's trying to be supportive she is failing

kittybiscuits · 18/06/2017 07:52

That face was to olliegarchy99

Tannyfastic · 18/06/2017 07:53

It's about time TM got some negative press.
Did you notice how Jeremy Corbyn has been slandered and bullied for two years?

One rule for the rich, another for the poor.

Anotheroneofthese · 18/06/2017 07:53

The human right to be housed the bastion of civil society. Hmm

makeourfuture · 18/06/2017 07:53

I'd consider human right to be housed the bastion of civil society

Absolutely!

Anotheroneofthese · 18/06/2017 07:56

Anyway, as always the silent majority will look on and will of and on speak. Let the small minority believe their chorus and assume the rest of the people think the same.

Anotheroneofthese · 18/06/2017 07:57

Saying absolutely does not mean anything. I doubt Jeremy Corbyn would agree with you on that point about the right to housing being the bastion of civil society. Pick up your book on political ideology.
