NO point did I ever say it was not right for the EDL to march. I said that posters outed their views. Happy to be corrected

You were corrected earlier on this point by the pp who posted the EDL link.

everthibkyouvebeenconned · 16/06/2017 21:25

She was anti EDL. read it! She said she posted it without the emoticon! Re read
I can't even be bothered to be exasperated about that

FaithHopeCharityDesperation · 16/06/2017 21:27

Their pointless anger is directed towards a username on a forum. It's a shame really. I feel pity that they can afford the energy to be so negative

Oh dear.
Are you trying to minimise the anger & 'negative energy' of the people you purport to care about again?

Please could you clarify who the 'right type' of disenfranchised & poor are.
Are they the ones who don't answer you back?

Many thanks.

CrossWordSalad · 16/06/2017 21:29

rufus I don't know what all Brendan O'Neill's views are but I have read pieces by him on terrorism, Islam, Brexit and Corbyn which have all been excellent.

everthibkyouvebeenconned · 16/06/2017 21:32

boring faith try again

FaithHopeCharityDesperation · 16/06/2017 21:33

KK.

Placard slogan suggestion:

"I'm not marching for FaithHopeCharityDesperation even though I purport to care about everyone struggling due to austerity, because she thinks I'm a twat"

RufusTheRenegadeReindeer · 16/06/2017 21:44

Thank you cross

scaryteacher · 16/06/2017 21:54

ever So droll. I think you are quite young, and thus have GCSEs. In some posts your syntax is quite sophisticated and in others you make daft mistakes, such as 'me and my Mum', as opposed to 'my Mum and I', and your repeated use of 'prey tell', which is completely the wrong use of prey; you actually mean pray.

I make no comment on your educational attainment, which from your syntax is rather above your average 16 year old, (and as I am hip deep in GCSE examining at the moment, I am well acquainted with the syntax and spelling of the average 16 year old), but the facility with which you twist things is similar to one of those clever kids who think they will get away with bamboozling the examiner under the bullshit baffles brains principle.

Which part of the SW, Bristol? Exeter? Plymouth? I bet you're not as far down as my bit unless you are really Candy Atherton?

everthibkyouvebeenconned · 16/06/2017 22:07

Cheers scary does applying your professional opinion regarding my educational level make you feel superior

Whilst in the same thread faith is condoning me for my inability to talk for them because I sneer

I am all things to all?

Or I am just someone who will march for the rights of others.

PS how about I actually live in the home counties and have a porsche. Make you feel better? Or and or

FaithHopeCharityDesperation · 16/06/2017 22:11

Whilst in the same thread faith is condoning me for my inability to talk for them because I sneer

What does this even mean Confused

RufusTheRenegadeReindeer · 16/06/2017 22:17

Do you ever ?

What colour is it?

(Its a test...if you get the colour wrong you fail and dont really have a Porsche)

RufusTheRenegadeReindeer · 16/06/2017 22:17

Wait... Confused

explodingkittens · 17/06/2017 11:51

I think you are quite young, and thus have GCSEs

The first cohort to take GCSEs are now 45 years old.

But well done on another incredibly patronising post, scary. God help your poor pupils.

Conservatives got 42% of the vote - 58% did not vote conservative

BMW6 · 17/06/2017 13:18

And even more did not vote Labour, Libdem or anyone else!

BMW6 · 17/06/2017 13:21

60% did not vote Labour
92.6% did not vote Libdem

So, less people did not vote Conservative than any other party.

HTH

FaithHopeCharityDesperation · 17/06/2017 13:32

Conservatives got 42% of the vote - 58% did not vote conservative

And 100% of that statement is irrelevant.

Madbengalmum · 17/06/2017 13:38

Yawn.

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 17/06/2017 15:58

Conservatives got 42% of the vote - 58% did not vote conservative

In 1997 Labour got 43% of the vote- 57% did not vote Conservative.

The SNP got 46% of the last Holroody vote- 54% did note vote SNP.

Unless you are one of 32% who voted for PR that is a ridiculous comment. The last election where the governing party had a majority was 1931.

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 17/06/2017 16:00

*In 1997 Labour got 43% of the vote- 57% did not vote Labour.

I didn't vote Conservative in this election but I'm not going to whinge about the result.

Andrewofgg · 17/06/2017 18:15

It doesn't matter how you cut the mustard: the Conservatives got more votes than any other party in GB and the DUP than any other party in NI and if you protest against them forming a government you are protesting against democracy.

The alternative is a Labour minority government - unable to pass any Bill without Conservative agreement; unable to increase taxes; and unable to get two thirds of the House of Commons to vote for a dissolution.

And that is absurd.

FinallyThroughTheRoof · 17/06/2017 19:05

They are causing harm with austerity.

They are risking the Good friday agreement by teaming up with DUP.

They are wanting to give power to a party which doesn't support gay rights or women's right to choice.

These are harmful things and its perfectly acceptable that people want to protest them.

Andrewofgg · 17/06/2017 19:19

Protest about what they are doing or might do - peacefully and without stoping people going about their private occasions - but don't suggest that they are not democratically elected to do it. They are.

FinallyThroughTheRoof · 17/06/2017 19:25

People are protesting peacefully about what they are doing.

HopefulMog · 17/06/2017 20:39

Thank you for the reminder explodingkittens.

I'll try to be there with my marching boots trainers and bags of enthusiasm and hope. I'll happily march for the dispossessed at least I can say to the next generation that I tried my best.
