Yes it was. Shame you were both too busy in freak life to go in real life to see

But am guessing greasing behind a keyboard is enough excitement for you? Bless your little cotton socks

OneMoreFrog · 02/07/2017 00:34

No thanks, sick to death of good friends banging on about this stuff on my Facebook account

everthinkyouvebeenconned · 02/07/2017 00:35

What stuff...did they march? Did you ?

That's a poor comment

FaithHopeCharityDesperation · 02/07/2017 00:53

Freak life?
Greasing?

Why are you so goady & offensive to posters just because they happen to have a differing opinion to you?

everthinkyouvebeenconned · 02/07/2017 00:57

Check yourself faith before you make accusations that you fall into yourself

Go to a demo. Then comment

Otherwise all your comments are in ignorance

FaithHopeCharityDesperation · 02/07/2017 01:06

You'd better check yourself, before you wreck yourself GrinGrin

everthinkyouvebeenconned · 02/07/2017 01:16

Really? Droll. Put your keyboard down and go see a march then come back with insightful opinion. doesnt have to be pro march. Just have an real lfe rather than tabloid or online life informed opinion

Then you will be worth listening too

CrossWordSalad · 02/07/2017 08:15

DUP are bunged 2 billion

That's the first time I've seen this figure. Do you have a link to a source? Everywhere I've seen calls it 1 billion.

And I thought the money goes to the Northern Ireland Assembly and via them to the people of NI, no?

Oh, sorry, I forgot, ending austerity is good, but not spending more money on NI, silly me.

CrossWordSalad · 02/07/2017 08:25

www.standard.co.uk/news/politics/theresa-may-in-1-billion-deal-with-the-dup-to-prop-up-wobbly-government-a3573121.html

Mrs Foster said the headline deal was worth £1.5 billion in extra spending power for the Northern Ireland executive. In addition to “financial support” of £1 billion over two years, she said, further devolution will give the executive more control over spending worth £500 million.

Mrs Foster said the deal would allow the executive to boost “the economy and invest in new infrastructure, as well as ... in the future of our health and education sectors”.

Increased health and education spending in NI Hmm It makes my blood boil.

Private Eye

To remind you of the protest march in London on July 1st?
FaithHopeCharityDesperation · 02/07/2017 10:07

Many a true word is spoken in jest Cross.

I've been ignoring the 'austerity caused Grenfell' posts, but it's quite an eye opener just how far some people are desperate to twist things to suit their hatred & hate-filled agenda.

everthinkyouvebeenconned · 02/07/2017 10:34

I love it how some posters just have to take over and derail threads that are nothing to do with the points they are making

There will be another march soon

Why not get some fresh air step away from the keyboard and come?

If not why not start another thread to continue your banter on whatever point you are not making

CrossWordSalad · 02/07/2017 11:17

ever I am not taking over and I am not derailing. I am putting alternative points on a couple of issues raised in the thread. Y'know, discussing politics, or is that not acceptable these days?

CrossWordSalad · 02/07/2017 11:18

*points of view

everthinkyouvebeenconned · 02/07/2017 15:57

No Cross you like to go on threads and take them so off tangent they go sideways just so you can get some vague pro Brexit pro Tory points across

It's actually rather boring and very pointless. It's not a discussion. It's not about politics

Yourself and Faith seem to like a longer movement to shut down any discussion you don't like or is against your clearly superior opinions

It's boring

makeourfuture · 02/07/2017 16:50

The point is that the Tories have found their magic money tree. But it is always there for their wants like corporate tax give-a-ways.

CrossWordSalad · 02/07/2017 16:55

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think I've mentioned Brexit on this thread?

Yes, it is about politics. Do feel free to argue against any of the points I've made if you wish. Telling me I am taking over the thread and being boring is a fairly weak attempt to stop me posting on this thread, and is no substitute for a convincing political argument.

CrossWordSalad · 02/07/2017 17:01

Interesting though that you think making pro Tory points on a thread about an anti Tory demo is a derail and a tangent. Not quite following your logic there. It's almost like you really don't want anyone putting the opposite point of view. Everyone is entitled to post on MN threads, within the guidelines, so if you post on a controversial issue, people can and will post opposing views.

If you don't like my posts or find them boring, please free to ignore them. My name is at the top of each one, so just scroll past if they don't interest you.

CrossWordSalad · 02/07/2017 17:07

make Are you pleased that the Tories are now reviewing university fees? I'm not in favour of reducing fees, although we will benefit personally. I think the money would be better spent on young people who don't go to university, but I can see that the political pressure is on to reduce fees as the Labour policy was very popular.

everthinkyouvebeenconned · 02/07/2017 20:52

Make am taking PP advice and ignoring

Did you go?

woman12345 · 03/07/2017 07:08

And in solidarity with the American resistance, I'm looking forward to some massive anti trump protests when that alt right half wit sneaks in. Grin

Should increase Labour's polling even more. Smile

washinggotdarkedon · 03/07/2017 07:15

When Jeremy Corbyn's leadership was threatened, Momentum managed to get a crowd of 10,000 to support him with a few hours notice. I'm sure they'll be ready for Trump!

woman12345 · 03/07/2017 07:20

If May really does want a labour landslide, she's ticking all the right boxes. washing Smile
