Rufus who?

scaryteacher · 16/06/2017 17:25

The insults that Fren listed have been on MN incidentally...if you care to have a dig about.

If Labour had been in the current Tory position, I don't think you would have seen protests and actions specifically designed to stop him forming a minority govt. There would have been bitching aplenty, but Labour would have been given the opportunity to form (and govern with) a minority government as per the result of the election for as long as they could. I fail to see how protesting specifically to bring down the government even before the Queen's Speech isn't undemocratic. If TM is as bloody difficult as he claims to be, then all that will achieve is to make her dig her heels in and be determined to stay in office as long as possible.

scaryteacher · 16/06/2017 17:26

Sorry, she claims to be.

everthibkyouvebeenconned · 16/06/2017 17:48

scary I don't need to but thanks I believe her

Take a trawl through this thread if you want and others for the insults thrown the other way

Well let's think about what Farage comes out with about his RW gaggle ready to riot...not march but riot

I fully support anyones right to legally march. If anyone wants to after the next election then that is their right

A march won't stop a government being formed with the DUP. The Tories will. One way or another.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 16/06/2017 17:50

There is a demo tomorrow too, at Whitehall 2pm.

Spectre8 · 16/06/2017 19:41

austerity kills.....

Yes then so does spending millions, no billions of pounds because that is what Labour did - the party who love to sing about how they are for the working class and the poor. The party who when in power poured huge amounts of money in the public sector - so why didn't the money resolve the Grenfell situation? Because that is what people wanting JC in are saying would happen under his Government but alas history shows a Labour government didn't care enough about them even when plenty of money was available.

A lady was being interviewed on tv and the reporter pointed this out and her response...it the Tories fault. Would not even ackowledge that there is a legitmate point being about the Labour Government that they too are not free of guilt for not doing something. Just sheer and utter anger only for the Tories.....so no surprises, this won't ever change people just selecting what they want to be true regardless of the facts put in front of them.

Spectre8 · 16/06/2017 20:08

CrossWordSalad absolutely agree and yes answers are needed and yes the public enquiry should not take years but people are demanding answers now, surely they should see that 'now' isn't realistic, the fire brigade can't access the whole building for safety reasons so cannot just come up answers 'now'.

I do think that the fact information and news is suddenly more accessible and updates on social media instanteous that it could be a contributing factor to why people are starting to demand instant answers etc. But then again I could be wrong about that but its similiar to people who text and expect an instant reply....mmmmm one to think about more

FaithHopeCharityDesperation · 16/06/2017 20:27

Yes he is cross.

UrsulaPandress · 16/06/2017 20:37

Thanks for sharing that Cross.

Makes me feel better about my reactions.

everthibkyouvebeenconned · 16/06/2017 20:42

cross

Well done to find someone who supports your view rather than looking at austerity and it's effects. Is this your debate?

I'm guessing that makes some of you feel a lot better. Must not direct blame to those that deserve it? Must not must not

The austerity march was planned before Grenfell.

Are you coming?

RufusTheRenegadeReindeer · 16/06/2017 20:50

Thought i would have a look at that link

Do you think he is spot on with his other views cross?

scaryteacher · 16/06/2017 20:55

Ever I've been reading this thread from the start thanks, so am well aware of insults thrown on both sides, buzz buzz?

I'm not sure you do support anyone's right to legally march; I have a sneaking suspicion that you have to approve of what they were marching for/about, as demonstrated by the EDL comments earlier.

RufusTheRenegadeReindeer · 16/06/2017 20:57

Oooh who said the EDL should not be allowed to march?

Missed that...i miss a lot though!!

deffoncforthis · 16/06/2017 20:57

It was noticeable during the election campaign that "certain types of poster" seem to take MNers for being impressionable and easily led by the nose to do Labour's bidding for "some reason".

I love seeing the disingenuous emotional kneejerk nonsense of the Corbynites called out for what it is.

YY defonc.

Buzz buzz indeed everthick.
You are ever more breathless with each post by the way - quite excitable.

I'm sure you'll meet many like-minded souls on your march - all desperately trying to outdo each other in the "Hey, I Care!" stakes.

Perhaps Jezsus will join you?!
What a boon that would be.
Lots of attacks of the vapours from middle class crusaders to look forward to, if so.

everthibkyouvebeenconned · 16/06/2017 21:08

Well done scary So you would have seen the insults. I don't think buzz is one?

But maybe it is.

Thanks for attempting but if you re read again at NO point did I ever say it was not right for the EDL to march. I said that posters outed their views. Happy to be corrected.

I you change your mind it looks like there are some additional marches planned. Or I can find some EDL marches if you want some

everthibkyouvebeenconned · 16/06/2017 21:10

Really Faith is the best you can do

I see the anti marchers are on the march thread

Jolly good for you. I guess it's a difficult time for you all at the moment

Andrewofgg · 16/06/2017 21:11

The right to peaceful protest comes second to the right of the ordinary non-protesting citizens to go peacefully and unmolested about their lawful occasions. That means, for example, breaking up long processions into shorter groups with a pause between them so that people can cross the route of the march (usually more of a shuffle) to get from A to B.

There is of course no right to non-peaceful protest.

FaithHopeCharityDesperation · 16/06/2017 21:11

Yay! Additional marches!

I'm sure the police will be cock-a-hoop at the thought of more leave cancellations.

Do make sure to tell them that you're doing it for their own good, won't you.

I'm sure they'll be grateful.

FaithHopeCharityDesperation · 16/06/2017 21:13

Jolly good for you. I guess it's a difficult time for you all at the moment

It is actually.

But I'm sure my difficult times are paling into insignificance when compared to many at the moment.

scaryteacher · 16/06/2017 21:19

I wasn't aware I had expressed an interest in an EDL march ever. Very neat, bet you tried to answer what you wanted to be on the paper in your GCSEs. Bet the examiners saw straight through it as well.

'Buzz' was the word you used when comparing those who had an alternative view to yours to flies. Perhaps you should go back and read the thread again.

everthibkyouvebeenconned · 16/06/2017 21:20

Andrew agreed

But it seems it is not acceptable amongst some to believe in the right to peaceful protest. In fact my beliefs insult them

In fact my beliefs mean that they feel the need to insult me. In fact my beliefs mean that they can accuse me of wanting to undermine the government.

Their pointless anger is directed towards a username on a forum. It's a shame really. I feel pity that they can afford the energy to be so negative

FaithHopeCharityDesperation · 16/06/2017 21:21

Buzz buzz

everthibkyouvebeenconned · 16/06/2017 21:22

Oh scary really bringing it down to education levels. Not did I say that EDL marches should not happen

You see what happened there? It's called being called out
