Oh just getting my fly spray out.....buzz buzz buzz

Yep. Exactly what I mean. Infantile and petulant.

CrossWordSalad · 16/06/2017 08:13

This thread makes me think of this exchange about the UK Against Hate march in Manchester last Sunday (against Islamist terrorism and Sharia law).

Exploding...theres an awful lot of marches coming up

Lots of us just having tantrums and being our own worst enemy

Anyone would think we might be adults who understand democracy
But I'm sure the poison on here is right

Anyhow.Marches tonight..wednesday 21st and the 1st July

Peregrina · 16/06/2017 08:14

Was Theresa May thinking about burdening an overstretched Police force when she invited President Trump for a State visit? Even if he had been popular the event would still have required a massive police presence.

No, thought not. Glad to see that Trump has decided he doesn't want to come and wants to pull out because he realises he backed a loser. Ah well, takes one to know one.

BigYellowJumper · 16/06/2017 08:20

gerda already been discussed. Read the thread.

everthibkyouvebeenconned · 16/06/2017 08:21

I had heard there is another one on Saturday but perhaps this has been moved to tonight

RufusTheRenegadeReindeer · 16/06/2017 08:24

stop being so childish to resort to name-calling/ whinging because you LOST THE DEMOCRATIC ELECTION

A) there is loads of name calling and whinging on here and its not coming from people going in the march (walk)

With the honorable exception of BIll and I appreciate the comments of those concerned about policing

B) could people stop using the word democracy if they do not want people to exercise their democratic rights

RufusTheRenegadeReindeer · 16/06/2017 08:25

Oooh bold fail

Who was the poster unhappy with the lack of bolding

Whiever it it was 'i'm sorry...but its done now'

everthibkyouvebeenconned · 16/06/2017 08:26

Rufus. I'm sorry I disagree wrt Bill

The rest is however correct

NeoNeoClassical · 16/06/2017 08:29

Why is it always the left who march when they don't get their own way?

Toys out of the pram again.

everthibkyouvebeenconned · 16/06/2017 08:29

Rufus Almost all posts have been goading and rude against the marchers. I have been called I fanile and my own worst enemy as if keyboard warriors are in some way superior to me

It's really bloody sad this poison has nothing better to do. No one is making them march or watch it or even talk about it. It's very very odd

Makes me want to.......MARCH!

BigYellowJumper · 16/06/2017 08:30

neo you haven't noticed the EDL then, no?

everthibkyouvebeenconned · 16/06/2017 08:33

Bigly to be fair to the EDL hardly anyone turns up. Usually a couple of hundred i my area flanked by police on all sides.....most supporters are sitting at home on their keyboards. Hhhmm

Alltheprettyseahorses · 16/06/2017 08:34

Oh, for crying out loud!

There was a democratic election in which the Tories got more votes than Labour. Labour lost, and badly. In a few years there'll be another election. The march is not anti-Tory but anti-democracy. There's no getting round that. Have some respect for people who voted in large enough numbers to mean that their choice of party 'won'.

I voted Lib Dem, btw, so was on a no-hoper from the start. Both Labour and Tory parties are an absolute disgrace right now and neither should be allowed near government imo - but enough people decided one of them should be charge.

everthink well when I lived in East London, the EDL had huge protests with, yes, riots and cider and everything.

BillSykesDog · 16/06/2017 08:38

It's really bloody sad this poison has nothing better to do. No one is making them march or watch it or even talk about it. It's very very odd

See? There you go again. You want to go out and march about things you're unhappy about. But you don't have the slightest bit of respect for people who disagree with you doing the same thing by disagreeing with you on here.

You've been deeply rude and personal (and to be childish - you started it) but you can't handle a couple of pretty measured comments about your own conduct on the thread, even when offered as constructive advice.

So your position seems to be 'I have a right to go out and protest and cause a fuss because I'm right. But people who disagree with me shouldn't even be allowed to speak'.

You might want to refer back to the people that poem was written about and have a think about how much your behaviour chimes with theirs...

RufusTheRenegadeReindeer · 16/06/2017 08:38

Thats fine ever

We can exercise our democratic rights to disagree about bill Grin

But yes some Of the posters against peoples right to peaceful protest on here have been quite rude at times

BigYellowJumper · 16/06/2017 08:41

If you don't agree with the protest, don't go.

Not that hard.

Or go and have a counter protest.

RufusTheRenegadeReindeer · 16/06/2017 08:41

Dammit, might have to change my comments based on bills last post Smile

everthibkyouvebeenconned · 16/06/2017 08:42

Rufus agreed

Still perturbs me that a middle aged woman (me) and my mum marching hurts everyone's little feelings so much

So.much pointless anger....a good walk would sort them all out

Isawesausittingonaseesaw · 16/06/2017 08:43

Well, I for one welcome all the great changes that these marches will bring about

To remind you of the protest march in London on July 1st?
everthibkyouvebeenconned · 16/06/2017 08:44

Ha..you see Rufus misdirected passion with some superiority issues thrown in for good measure from all concerned

Must say I will have to find better shoes than the last march I went on....the Pro EU one...my feet really hurt after that

RufusTheRenegadeReindeer · 16/06/2017 08:50

ever I bought a pair of clarkes cushion soles, i think they are in the sale now

Not for marching....or even walking as i am very lazy
