People's Assembly

For those of us who are sick and tired and angry and devastated.

YABU.

explodingkittens · 15/06/2017 20:54

Unreasonable to share information about an upcoming event?

What a quaint perspective.

Thank you for sharing

StillDrivingMeBonkers · 15/06/2017 21:35

Oh look, another bunch of yobs protesting about democracy.

Whatslovegottodo · 15/06/2017 21:37

Thank you for sharing.

AntiHop · 15/06/2017 21:38

still do you not see the irony in your statement? Protesting is part of democracy.

SeagullsStoleMyChurro · 15/06/2017 21:39

Thank you for posting, I was looking for information on this.

TheNaze73 · 15/06/2017 21:41

Ooooh Demo

scaryteacher · 15/06/2017 21:44

Strange, I thought the Tories had won the most seats and the highest percentage of the vote. How very undemocratic to try to overturn this.

Perhaps we should have an assembly for those who don't want Labour and would like the elected majority party to form a government to carry on.

StillDrivingMeBonkers · 15/06/2017 21:48

Irony? I think it somewhat ironic to demonstrate against a democratically elected government just because your preferred party didn't cut the mustard, and hasn't for the last three GEs. I got caught up in the last one where the lovely fluffy wuffy peaceful demonstrators spray painted the memorial to women.

explodingkittens · 15/06/2017 21:48

By all means scaryteacher, go right ahead. That's democracy, after all.

chumpchange · 15/06/2017 21:51

I think it's your patriotic duty to PEACEFULLY protest against the government if you're unhappy with something they're doing.

Just my opinion.

originalbiglymavis · 15/06/2017 21:54

Protesting what though?

Allthebestnamesareused · 15/06/2017 21:58

Protesting that the party they wanted didn't win. Hmm

time4chocolate · 15/06/2017 22:02

For those of us who are sick and tired and angry and devastated

For not getting your own way? You want to overturn a democratic decision? I'm not against people demonstrating, however, this one is ridiculous and dare I even say pathetic.

Feel better for getting that off my chest.

StillDrivingMeBonkers · 15/06/2017 22:04

time4chocolate I love you

I am heartily sick of snowflakes protesting about every little thing they don't like.

Flumpernickel · 15/06/2017 22:06

Oh for f#*ks sake.

HmmBiscuit

explodingkittens · 15/06/2017 22:10

It's always so interesting to me that those who trumpet 'democracy' get so aerated about protest. Without protest there is no democracy.

And as for 'snowflakes' and 'little things'.. really? Have you watched the news in the last week? At all?

FelixtheMouse · 15/06/2017 22:16

Why do these bloody people always march (a) on the rare days I go up to London and (b) in the part of London I'm going to. Yes IABU and I don't care.

originalbiglymavis · 15/06/2017 22:16

Can you go an protest somewhere else? Londoners are getting pissed off with all the protesting. There's real work to do here.

InfiniteSheldon · 15/06/2017 22:17

What exactly are you protesting?

explodingkittens · 15/06/2017 22:18

I'm a Londoner, mavis. I live and (do real) work in London. You don't speak for me.

Yes I have read the news - making a donation to the Kensington appeal would be a much better use of your money rather than just marching past.
