For body shaming JC, that is just beyond vile and nasty. Glad it's looking like they will not win.

She is over.

OP posts:

"I simply can't see Corbyn holding his own against a bunch of Brussels negotiators."

Well it's a good job those negotiators don't completely blank Theresa then isn't it? Confused

Crackednips · 31/05/2017 08:27

Grow up OP

makeourfuture · 31/05/2017 08:28

Offensive.

Marmitepasta · 31/05/2017 08:28

@maybenextweek

IMO it is bpdy shaming.

Just imagine if he had said that imagining her naked body didn't bear thinking about. As if the image oher as annaked middle aged woman is disgusting. It's body shaming, op is right.

metspengler · 31/05/2017 08:29

He has friends in hamas and sympathises with the IRA, I expect he doesn't look too closely at the man in the mirror anyway.

AwaywiththePixies27 · 31/05/2017 08:30

grow up OP

Really cracked the OP should grow up? Not the Prime Minister, Leader of the Government, making cheap jibes to get a few laughs from the audience? God help us all

M1nesasweetsh3rry · 31/05/2017 08:32

Can you imagne the uproar if Corbin had said that about her. The nasty party never really went away did it.

Igneococcus · 31/05/2017 08:32

They will not blank her in a negotiation, but they will be hostile and I just don't believe JC will deal with that any better than TM.

Jupitar · 31/05/2017 08:33

He has friends in hamas and sympathises with the IRA, I expect he doesn't look too closely at the man in the mirror anyway.

Congratulations 💥💥💥 you managed to drop an IRA reference AND a Hamas reference into a thread about Theresa May and her derogatory remarks, they didn't fit in with the discussion in any way but hey who cares you managed to pop it in there 🙄

My DD has always likened her to the witch in the Wizard of OzGrin

'Garden tax' is the Daily Mail speculating wildly on the basis of one line about a Land Value Tax.
Anyone with an ordinary home would be unlikely to pay much more than they are, and renters and those with smaller houses are likely to pay less or nothing at all.
The only people who'd get hit with big bills would be those with huge rental property portfolios and building corporations hoarding land hoping that it's value will go up in future and they can make a huge profit.
No one is going to lose their home because they have a big garden.

BertrandRussell · 31/05/2017 08:36

"they will be hostile and I just don't believe JC will deal with that any better than TM."

He has been measured and cLm in the HoC. Measured and calm on live TV. Measured and calm in the face of Paxman. Screwed up on Woman's Hour, admitted it and defended the journaist's right to scrutinize him. Why do you think he won't be able to deal with Brexit negotiations at least as well as TM.

noblegiraffe · 31/05/2017 08:37

Whoever dubbed the social care house cost policy the 'dementia tax' was a genius. Someone's trying to copy that with 'garden tax' but it's not working so well because it's not an actual policy, where the dementia tax was.

Edsheeranalbumparty · 31/05/2017 08:38

My DD has always likened her to the witch in the Wizard of Oz

Has she? You must be so proud.

AwaywiththePixies27 · 31/05/2017 08:39

Just checking. So everyone is voting purely on the Brexit thing then?

Thank God things like the police force's, our Children's education and the NHS aren't on their knees then! Confused

Coffeetasteslikeshit · 31/05/2017 08:39

I simply can't see Corbyn holding his own against a bunch of Brussels negotiators. Maybe May won't either but Corbyn, I have no doubt, he'll crumble.

Do you mind me asking why you think this? Because when he appeared with Paxman the other night I think he came across really well.
I also feel like I may be missing something about the negotiations. Why would he crumble? This is a genuine question as I don't know much about what happens in these negotiations. To me that makes it sound like Corbyn will be trembling in his boots and yet he appears to me to be a tough old boot.
I certainly have more confidence in him rather than her after watching the Paxman interviews.

Ah okay. So it's okay for TM to take the piss out of JC but not for a child to describe TM as something you're not comfortable with?

Mapoftheworlddoorknob · 31/05/2017 08:42

OK - you seem a reasonable lot. I don't want to vote Tory and I don't want to vote Labour. My heart says Lib Dem but I'm worried that a) wasted vote b) if the Lib Dems do well then I'm worried they'll take us into a shambolic coalition again. Ideally I'd like the LibDems in power but this isn't going to happen.

Orlantina · 31/05/2017 08:42

Theresa May has demonstrated an ability to back down at the first thing.

She will be alone in the negotiations and she's certainly not warming herself to the EU.

Not sure if that's how you negotiate.

Mummyoflittledragon · 31/05/2017 08:43

It doesn't mean literally naked. It's a figure of speech. The meaning of this includes descriptions such as exposed (again not naked), out on a limb or on his own.

To have taken offence at such words puts into context why my words can sometimes be so misconstrued.

And I won't be voting TM btw.

BertrandRussell · 31/05/2017 08:43

As a starting point, why don't you want to vote Labour?

Igneococcus · 31/05/2017 08:43

calm and measured for an hour on television is a very different situation than facing several hostile negotiator over many hours.

BertrandRussell · 31/05/2017 08:44

Why do you think he couldn't do it "for many hours"?

M1nesasweetsh3rry · 31/05/2017 08:44

away I thought my .DD was spot on. It's not just the physical appearance she was describing. It' s the nasty mean spirited cruelty that she thinks sums up may.
I'm very proud if my DD yes thanksSmile

AwaywiththePixies27 · 31/05/2017 08:45

Theresa May has demonstrated an ability to back down at the first thing.

Agreed. At least Maggie actually meant it when she said she wasn't for turning. TM obviously didnt mean her strong and stable with all the u-turning she did on the dementia tax.
