For body shaming JC, that is just beyond vile and nasty. Glad it's looking like they will not win.

She is over.

OP posts:

"o make the man look ridiculous, he manages perfectly well all on his own"

Where and when has he looked ridiculous?

Marmitepasta · 31/05/2017 08:11

I totally agree, op.

The 'image that doesn't bear thinking about' comment' is totally body shaming and inappropriate.

As pp have said, of he had said this of her, all hell would have broken loose.

MaybeNextWeek · 31/05/2017 08:13

'Where and when has he looked ridiculous'

Oh, just every time he's on the TV or quoted in the paper really.

Where and when has he looked ridiculous

BertrandRussell it's from that age old joke that he looks like a geography teacher, they didn't have anything else to insult him with at the time as he hadn't been papped eating a bacon sandwich Wink

NotYoda · 31/05/2017 08:16

I agree. This was uncharacteristic and beneath her. That she should read whoever's words those were.

BertrandRussell · 31/05/2017 08:16

"Oh, just every time he's on the TV or quoted in the paper really."

So he looked ridiculous being interviewed by Paxman? When he agreed he had screwed up on Woman's Hour but strongly defended the right of journalists to hold politicians to account?

Jupitar · 31/05/2017 08:16

The cold shouldering that TM has to deal with has nothing to do with her personally, they would treat any British PM like that at the moment.
Maybe but it's how she handles it, in the video doing the rounds, of her being "cold shouldered" one guy comes over and talks to her (presumably out of pity) and she can't even make conversation with him.
If the Eu politicians are deliberately being awkward then TM with her inability to make normal conversation is definitely not the right person for the job.

Mapoftheworlddoorknob · 31/05/2017 08:16

Has TM found herself in a bit of a jam?

MaybeNextWeek · 31/05/2017 08:17

Unwise definitely, 'body shaming' is getting a bit carried away though. Up there with Abbott's gaffes really. You'd think they'd all know how to behave in public by now.

noblegiraffe · 31/05/2017 08:17

It's not just what she said, it was the really weird facial expression she pulled after, while the audience sniggered at naked Jeremy. Like that gif of her laughing in the House of Commons she comes across as someone who has learned human behaviour by reading a book about it.

NotYoda · 31/05/2017 08:18

I think this wasn't her. I think she cynically took that populist, personal-attack line on someone else's advice. Poor advice

Igneococcus · 31/05/2017 08:19

They are not going to have pleasant chats in the negotiations. I simply can't see Corbyn holding his own against a bunch of Brussels negotiators. Maybe May won't either but Corbyn, I have no doubt, he'll crumble.

Jupitar · 31/05/2017 08:20

she comes across as someone who has learned human behaviour by reading a book about it.

Yep, totally sums her up 😂

Edsheeranalbumparty · 31/05/2017 08:21

Her comment wasn't 'body shaming' (ffs everything is something 'shaming' at the moment, it's getting tedious), it was just something a totally nasty twat who is getting desperate would say.

It reminds me of when Cameron told him to 'get a new suit' - it's the kind of thing you say when you don't have a leg left to stand on.

However, also agree with the poster who said that I'm sure politicians say a lot worse than that to each other all the time. Calling it ' body shaming' seems a bit snowflakey.

If he has any sense JC won't make a big deal of this, and will let the comments speak for themselves.

NotYoda · 31/05/2017 08:21

I also think the line that's beneath her and very regretful is the 'bloody difficult woman' thing

Presumably to enlist the support of the kind of Tories who were comfortable with Thatcher's battleaxe image. For the rest of us women, bit of a betrayal to define yourself that way

MilkTrayLimeBarrel · 31/05/2017 08:23

The proposed 'garden tax' is yet another example of this horrible creeping jealousy which Socialists appear to have. Why shouldn't somebody have a large garden if they can afford it, without having to pay extra tax on it?

AwaywiththePixies27 · 31/05/2017 08:24

I think this wasn't her

Really? She's not a child in a primary school who hasn't yet grasped all social norms. She's a grown woman who makes her own choices, she doesn't have to say anything she didn't want to.

BertrandRussell · 31/05/2017 08:24

"I simply can't see Corbyn holding his own against a bunch of Brussels negotiators."

Really? I would have thought an old Trade Union hack would be perfect for the job!

Blappy · 31/05/2017 08:25

Misread this as "diagnosed with Theresa" and was mildly horrified.

As you were.

M1nesasweetsh3rry · 31/05/2017 08:25

may is nasty through and through. It shows in her wizened face. She's left herself open to criticism about her physical appearance, and there's plenty of scope for that. Smile

KingJoffreysRestingCuntface · 31/05/2017 08:25

Theresa's kind of morphing into Cruella De Ville, just with a much prettier name.

AwaywiththePixies27 · 31/05/2017 08:26

MilkTray the garden tax isn't even a thing!

NotYoda · 31/05/2017 08:26

Bertrand

Yes, me too!
