penny Flowers

It's the deliberate targeting of children that's so especially horrific.

This is nothing to do with any religion this is pure evil using a religion to hide behind to do unspeakable acts of cruelty.

Thoughts for everyone concerned

ohhereweareagain · 23/05/2017 09:12

my husband plays with a band who also did a gig in manchester last night. i work up at 6am and saw a text from him telling me that 'they are all fine, that it wasn't their venue'. i didn't know what he was talking about until i looked at the bbc Sad. words fail me. i have to go to a gig tonight something i would now rather not do

MajesticWhine · 23/05/2017 09:25

Penny what a terrible shock for them. Glad they are ok.

M0stlyBowlingHedgehog · 23/05/2017 09:27

My thoughts are with those who've lost people/are still waiting for news. Manchester is my home town, and I feel shocked by this. To deliberately target children is so horrible.

(I'm another one here old enough to remember the Arndale bombing - I knew my parents had gone shopping in Manchester and spent an anxious time waiting for news of them, no mobile phones back then).

Greenleave · 23/05/2017 09:45

So sad and angry and lost

mrswhiplington · 23/05/2017 10:00

I live just outside the centre and was so shocked this morning to see all this. My DD had school friends at the concert, she knows one of them is ok but sent her off to school this morning not knowing if the others are alive or not. Never thought I would have to do that. Could these bombers be any more cowardly, targeting children and families.

SfaOkaySuperFurryAnimals · 23/05/2017 10:03

So shocking, so sad, just wanted to say our thoughts are with all those involved, I have two ten year old girls, I have been in tears, so so sad.

HildaOg · 23/05/2017 10:06

Praying isn't going to help.

Justdontgetitatall · 23/05/2017 10:07

Zubba you should be ashamed of yourself, posting that tweet

bellabasset · 23/05/2017 10:26

So sad to hear about this.

A woman has been speaking on the TV whose daughter is still missing and cannot be contacted by phone, her husband and friends are looking for her. She has been told to wait at home in case her daughter comes home. It was heartbreaking to listen to her speak, her daughter's friend has just been found in hospital.

I hope she is found well.

MajesticWhine · 23/05/2017 10:27

Hilda - praying may give comfort to some people.

noeffingidea · 23/05/2017 10:29

this is nothing to do with any religion. Yes it does, it has to do with Islam, albeit an extreme radical form. Stop with the denial, it doesn't help.

And now the Arndale is being evacuated. Please god let this be nothing more than a false alarm.

Zubba · 23/05/2017 12:13

The arndale evacuation has been halted and people are returning, I hear.
I bet it was someone thinking it would be hilarious to fake a bomb threat or something. That's really sickening.

Pray for Manchester
Sionella · 23/05/2017 12:23

Hugely relieved. Hopefully just a misunderstanding that shows how well our security services react. If it was a hoax, however, there will be no words!

It;s religion that causes all this shit.

Bollix - it's unhinged psychopaths who cause 'this shit'. I work with people from many religions including muslims, christians, sikh's - the majority or good people.

redshoeblueshoe · 29/05/2017 23:09

Lots of Muslims at a very moving vigil in Trafford this afternoon.
some of them carried signs saying I love Manchester and Not in my name
