You can Pray all you want, change your facebook profile. It will do no good. Aknowledging there is a problem with Islamic ideology would be a start. It needs addressing. Poor poor kids.

Westray · 23/05/2017 07:12

religion will motivate some of those offering help

Some of us don't need religion to be decent people.

MajesticWhine · 23/05/2017 07:15

Please no more arguing about people's different responses to tragedy. It's not helping. Save your rage.

Collidascope · 23/05/2017 07:17

We seriously have to acknowledge that in our world we have a massive problem with male violence -muslim, Christian, atheist, etc. It's always a fucking man behind it.

Westray · 23/05/2017 07:17

The title of the thread is inflammatory.

strawberrygate · 23/05/2017 07:18

collidiscope I agree it was probably a man, but hardly likely to be fundamental christian or one of those radical buddhists, is it?

Mulberry72 · 23/05/2017 07:18

I'm Manchester born, bred and raising my DS in this amazing place.

Heartbroken that our beautiful city has again been targeted by lunatics Sad

OnlyTheWelshCanCwtch · 23/05/2017 07:19

Cant even begin to comprehend the thought processes of the people behind this attack.
Rest In Peace all those who didn't make it home and keeping everything crossed for those waiting for news on loved ones xx

Westray · 23/05/2017 07:19

It;s religion that causes all this shit.

Sionella · 23/05/2017 07:20

Collidascope - even that's not true any more:

www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/uk-news/2017/may/10/three-women-charged-with-terror-offences-after-north-london-raid

Lots of other recent examples, tragically.

ComingUpTrumps · 23/05/2017 07:20

If anyone is around in Manchester and willing to donate blood, they've set up blood donation centres. Please spread the word Flowers

Collidascope · 23/05/2017 07:21

Strawberrygate, I'm talking generally. Perhaps this isn't the place but 96% of worldwide homicides being committed by men definitely points to a trend by sex to me.

kel1493 · 23/05/2017 07:22

My childminder and her daughter were there last night. Thankfully they are both okay.
(Dh and I were shocked this morning, we were only there in April ourselves).

CrapstainBirdseye · 23/05/2017 07:23

Agree Collidascope. Male violence is definitely part of the terrorism mix and that always seems to be overlooked as governments try to find solutions.

angryladyboobs · 23/05/2017 07:32

@ComingUpTrumps where is this? I'm not far from Manchester

ahipponamedbooboobutt · 23/05/2017 07:35

I've actually cried. I think it's the fact it was children targeted.

Same here. All terrorist attacks upset me, make me sad and contemplative, but this is the first that I've actually cried. My daughter is 13 so the age that many of those concert goers are. Really hit home this morning

Westray · 23/05/2017 07:38

I cried too this morning.

I have a 17 year old DD.

Those poor kids.

ComingUpTrumps · 23/05/2017 07:40

Thanks angry Flowers the Metro has details here of where to go.

HoldBackTheRain · 23/05/2017 07:40

pennypickle I hope your nieces are ok - please let us know when you can. I just called my sister to check my nephew wasn't there and I wanted to cry when she told me he was snoring in bed. Flowers

youarenotkiddingme · 23/05/2017 07:45

Yes I have a 12yo Ds. Currently working with a clinical pysch on his anxiety and the fact he won't go anywhere alone.

When I wake up to stories like this I'm grateful in some respects and don't fucking blame him.

It's horrific. Watching girls younger than ds on TV explaining what happened. Sad

The80sweregreat · 23/05/2017 07:49

So, so sad.
Words fail me. Awful day for Manchester.

JaceLancs · 23/05/2017 07:56

DS was at a concert in Manchester last night - this news came up on my Twitter feed whilst I was waiting for him to come home
I wasn't sure who he had gone to see
Tried ringing with no joy
Whilst trying to calm my nerves I came on MN read this thread and was absolutely sickened by some of the posts
Thankfully he turned up safe and had been at a different venue
My heart goes out to all those who have lost someone and the injured
The north west has always been a target I grew up here under constant threats and violence from the IRA
I don't pray myself but have no issues with those for who it will help

pennypickle · 23/05/2017 08:21

Thank you to those who have enquiried about my neices. They had been taken to hospital with shock, but uninjured. They are now home safe with their parents.

My heart goes out to all those who haven't received good news of their loved ones. What is the World coming to?

pheebo · 23/05/2017 08:50

Utter utter fucking bastards 💔

Sionella · 23/05/2017 08:59
