ComingUpTrumps · 23/05/2017 01:21

Sum Flowers are you still based in Manchester?

SumThucker · 23/05/2017 01:23

Yes, ComingUp, I can hear helicopters, although that's not too unusual.

busyboysmum · 23/05/2017 01:23

I'm in manchester and also remember being so devastated when our city was attacked and bombed last time. I'm lying in bed listening to our brave emergency services racing to who knows what trauma. So so upsetting.

redshoeblueshoe · 23/05/2017 01:33

Another Mancunian here. I imagine Gillys daughter is at the school that had its windows blown out when the Arndale was bombed.

I appreciate Pray for Manchester

Oh fuck controlled explosion very soon near the Cathedral, I hope all the kids at Cheethams are OK tonight.

oldlaundbooth · 23/05/2017 01:38

Was in aflecks when the bomb went off in the arndale in the 90's.

Prayers all round here.

redshoeblueshoe · 23/05/2017 02:05

Sum I'm old enough to remember an incendiary device going off in - what is now Primark in the early 70's.

Bettercallsaul1 · 23/05/2017 02:13

Nineteen confirmed dead and another fifty injured. Appalling.

Dixiestamp · 23/05/2017 02:18

Just horrendous.

Topseyt · 23/05/2017 02:36

Awful. Thoughts are with everyone in the area and those killed or injured.

Valfarlane, your posts are an utter disgrace. Piss off.

pennypickle · 23/05/2017 02:46

19 dead and up to 50 injured. It's been confirmed as a terririst attack. Pray for Manchester indeed. Valfarlane Fuck off! I hope you're proud of yourself! My two nieces are at that concert. I'm still awake and waiting for news that they are ok - please God we don't hear otherwise

redshoeblueshoe · 23/05/2017 02:46

Manchester is a wonderful city
My thoughts are with the families of those murdered and injured tonight

pennypickle · 23/05/2017 03:03

Thank you Dixie. Still no news yet

user1491572121 · 23/05/2017 03:06

Penny a lot of people just dropped their phones when it happened so that's probably why so many are not contactable. Flowers

ilovesprouts · 23/05/2017 03:09

just went down to watch sky news for a few mins absolutely shocking to hear my heart goes out to all involved 😱😢.

StrawberryMummy90 · 23/05/2017 05:01

Any news from your nieces penny? I hope they're safe and well.

picklemepopcorn · 23/05/2017 06:26

Prayers for all the scared and traumatised families. Prayers for all the helpers who are rallying round to support as they can, and for the emergency workers.

stopfuckingshoutingatme · 23/05/2017 06:40

What awful news to wake up to

I also remember the arndale bombs

So many devastated lives Sad

Big love to Manchester today

TheElementsSong · 23/05/2017 06:43

Just awful Sad My thoughts and love to everyone caught up in this. Flowers

Sionella · 23/05/2017 06:43

Prayers yes - but ffs, that's all we do. Pray for Paris. Pray for London. Pray for Berlin. Pray for Tunisia and Marseilles and Orlando and Syria and Iraq and Afghanistan... why can't human beings just fucking stop killing each other?

I'm from Manchester. I was there in 1996 when the Arndale was bombed. I've been to countless events at the MEN. My heart is breaking and I'm so angry.

The only light in the tunnel is that for every murdering cunt, there are literally hundreds of thousands of good people:

RebootYourEngine · 23/05/2017 06:45

Thinking of all of those affected by this Flowers

Westray · 23/05/2017 06:50

So tragic.

The last thing we need is more religion though.

eatingtomuch · 23/05/2017 06:58

Awful news to wake up to.

Heart goes out to everyone involved.

alreadytaken · 23/05/2017 07:06

religion will motivate some of those offering help - churches are often the first places to open their doors to help, although they werent this time.

We do need more religion - we need muslims pointing out that their god does not condone slaughter of innocents.

Taxi drivers offered free lift homes, people opened their houses, hotels opend their doors to the stranded.

Prayers may offer comfort to some and are all I can offer right now since I dont live in Manchester.

youarenotkiddingme · 23/05/2017 07:07

The most terrible news to wake up to.

I've actually cried. I think it's the fact it was children targeted.

What is the world coming to. Sad
