sleepysusie · 04/05/2017 18:00

I'm in Scotland and voted Labour as I will in the GE next month.

Come on you reds!

OatcakeCravings · 04/05/2017 18:00

Going to vote after tea.

  1. SNP
  2. SNP
  3. Green
  4. Independent
  5. Lib Dem
  6. Tory
  7. Labour

Due to the horrendous Labour candidate or other wise 6 and 7 would be the other way around!

TheChineseChicken · 04/05/2017 18:01

I'm voting independent. It's probably a waste of time but she's a better representative than anyone else!

DimsieMaitland · 04/05/2017 18:02

Labour and Green - had several elections to vote in. Neither will get anywhere- it's been a Tory stronghold since 1935.

I also took part in an online event to publicise the campaign for proportional representation.

ruthsmumkath · 04/05/2017 18:04

Independent - only one that sent any info out and he is local.
In SE too

20nil · 04/05/2017 18:08

Labour. Great local woman, very hard working.

TheFallenMadonna · 04/05/2017 18:08

LibDem for county council. LibDem first choice, Labour second choice for Mayor.

AugustCarrot · 04/05/2017 18:13

I always vote green in the local as they're great.
In the general I vote completely differently.

LadyLance · 04/05/2017 18:13

Libdem for the county council and independents for the town council. I think the Libdem standing for county council is very good on local issues and he has been to my house twice to talk to us! Heard nothing from the Tories at all.

For the town council I voted for the independent who's views matched up most closely with mine with regards to local issues.

BadKnee · 04/05/2017 18:13

Tory
Ha ha

Actually - no elections here but I thought I'd say that just for fun. (Screaming Lord Such actually) Grin . Suspect those who did vote Conservative wouldn't say because of the number of "Tory Scum" threads.

I don't know who I will vote for in the GE but it is a secret ballot and I won't be telling anyone. (And mine will be a close seat so there will be repercussions if you tell someone who has lost by a whisker that you voted for the other guy.

ShottaSherrif · 04/05/2017 18:14

On my way home to vote now. Will be voting Labour for local elections, and the Labour candidate for mayor too.

Sillysausage123 · 04/05/2017 18:15

Labour

RebelandaStunner · 04/05/2017 18:19

Labour.
They always come second but way behind the Tories where we are.

EllaHen · 04/05/2017 18:22
  1. SNP
  2. SNP
  3. Independent
  4. Labour

Only 2 other candidates were Tories.

ComputerUserNotTrained · 04/05/2017 18:23

I just had to check what type of election I've just voted in Blush

To be fair, it's "just" for county councillors here (which actually in some ways I think can be more important than voting in a GE, if you live in a parliamentary constituency that's an absolute stronghold for a party you're not enamoured with). I've not lived in this area for long, and I'm not familiar with the parish/town/county council hierarchy.

I knew it wasn't the GE btw - I'm not that out of the loop!

MaterEstIratus · 04/05/2017 18:25

Lib Dem. Will vote for them in GE too. Frankly I'd vote for a sausage if it were Anti-Brexit.

Littlestgirlguide25 · 04/05/2017 18:34

Voted Labour in town council and county council election. They were the only candidates who actually live in the areas they want to represent.
The last town council election there were only 30 votes between the 3 main parties so it could go either way.
Will vote Labour next month too as round here they are the closest to being able to kick our Conservative MP out.

Tomorrowillbeachicken · 04/05/2017 18:36

was mayoral elections here and voted for most local candidate

TheCunkOfPhilomena · 04/05/2017 18:41

Labour
I'm pretty hopeful we'll hold onto our Labour councillors here but not sure about what the result will be here in the general.

sheepskinshrug · 04/05/2017 18:50

lib dem - too many Tories around here

RebootYourEngine · 04/05/2017 18:53

We had about 5 or 6 candidates here. I voted for the independant person.

I feel quite anxious about it because i was so unprepared for this vote, usually i get leaflets and there are newspaper reports etc about the candidates but there has been nothing. Its like everyone forgot we were having an election.

ErrolTheDragon · 04/05/2017 18:54

Anyone interested in MN politics, theres a survey.

LibDem.

That1950sMum · 04/05/2017 18:55

Labour. I live in Surrey and thought it would be nice for the Labour candidate to get at least one vote!

TroysMammy · 04/05/2017 18:56

Haven't been yet. I always leave it until about 8pm when hopefully the rosette wearers have all gone home. As I told one Labour candidate who asked me who I would be voting for, "that's private. But it won't be Labour." Grin

DancingLedge · 04/05/2017 18:56

Lib Dem, because he's been a very hard working councillor.
