Labour.

Gosh interesting mumsnet stats. I voted conservativr. Always have. Find it weird that it can be seen as unpopular. I know a lot of tory voters but judging by social media it's akin to suggesting we put kids back up chimneys.

MrsKoala · 04/05/2017 19:07

It was like that in the 80s Willow. Everyone was really right on and lefty yet the Tories kept getting in. Confused

TheWernethWife · 04/05/2017 19:08

Andy Burnham, Labour - Election of Mayor for Greater Manchester Combined Authority.

forfuckssakenet · 04/05/2017 19:12

SNP

ghostyslovesheets · 04/05/2017 19:17

Labour and I've been out leafleting yesterday and this morning

GraceGrape · 04/05/2017 19:18

Lib Dem. Existing councillor is Lib Dem and works hard for local issues. I would vote for them anyway though. Have been out delivering leaflets over the past couple of weeks.

PlanIsNoPlan · 04/05/2017 19:22

Local candidate - no party given.

NapoleonsNose · 04/05/2017 19:25

Lib Dem. She's very hard-working and gets involved in local issues. Also the only one who bothered to put a leaflet through the door. I'll vote LD at the GE too. I'm a Labour Party member but its a two horse race here between Cons and LD.

Heatherjayne1972 · 04/05/2017 19:25

Is there an election?
Not heard anything about this

TaliDiNozzo · 04/05/2017 19:27

Voted on the way home from work. LibDem for the first time, would usually vote Labour but after their dismal behaviour over brexit I decided against them. LibDems are the only credible alternative to the Tory bastards around here so that (coupled with the national stance on the EU) made my choice for me.

Will be doing exactly the same in the GE for the same reasons.

I'm in Hertfordshire and it was county councillor elections today btw.

SaorAlbaGuBrath · 04/05/2017 19:29

SNP 1 & 2, Greens 3 then everyone else in descending order purely to put the Tory and bloody UKIP candidate dead last!

Tortycat · 04/05/2017 19:29

First time ever I voted tactically - Labour (mayor). I liked the first and second choice (lib dem) system. Will vote lib dem in the general election though

llangennith · 04/05/2017 19:31

Voted for the party who does most for this area. Won't be voting that way in the General Election.

LightYears · 04/05/2017 19:32

Our Green candidate for Mayor has pledged to only take the average wage for the West Midlands of £29,000, the proposed salary is £100,000, the rest he will give to charity.

Ftumch · 04/05/2017 19:33

I didn't vote, I couldn't find any info about the candidates online and none of them bothered leafleting. I will vote next month though, although I'm still not sure who for.

DrDreReturns · 04/05/2017 19:33

I voted lib dem because he knocked on my door and had a chat to me about local issues.

spacefrog35 · 04/05/2017 19:35

I also voted for the candidate that I feel does a good job locally regardless of party. I will not vote the same way in the General.

Sandsnake · 04/05/2017 19:38

Lib Dem

specialsubject · 04/05/2017 19:38

I interpret how you voted as ' how you made your choice'. Surprised so many do it by rosette colour for locals.

And also how many share my experience of candidates that don't bother to campaign or even leaflet.

Kittykatmacbill · 04/05/2017 19:41

In Scotland, so ranked every candidate (ending with the Tories although did consider putting the ukip man last). remember in Scotland you must use all your ranking or the way the single transferable vote works, is that everyone you don't rank gains a slight advantage...

hazeyjane · 04/05/2017 19:45

Labour

I asked this on another thread, but
those complaining about the lack of leaflets and publicity ( sometimes the complaints go the other way!) - would any of you consider leafleting for a candidate/party you support?

Appin · 04/05/2017 19:47

How Kitty? I didn't think that was the case at all.

I had seven choices on my ballot, only put numbers 1-5. It says on the info at the polling station that you can vote for as many or as few candidates as you like.
