AndHoldTheBun · 04/05/2017 22:48

SNP, SNP, Green.

Polly2345 · 04/05/2017 22:50

Green

nakedandconcerned · 04/05/2017 22:51

Manchester mayoral elections here. Labour first choice, second green.

I'd be surprised if labour didn't win here by a landslide.

BelafonteRavenclaw · 04/05/2017 22:53

Labour

milkysmum · 04/05/2017 22:53

Labour. She lives on our village. Was the local GP before retiring, still massively involved in the local community and the go to person if there are concerns that need addressing - no brainer to me.

BitOutOfPractice · 04/05/2017 22:53

Labour. I'm a member of the Labour Party. My area is staunch Tory. Tactical voting wouldn't make a difference. So I voted for my party

SimplyPut · 04/05/2017 22:54

Labour. A strong local candidate.

DeleteOrDecay · 04/05/2017 22:59

We are voting for a mayor in the West Midlands. I voted Labour.

Same. Greens were my secondary vote. Be interesting to find out the results in the morning.

onemorecupofcoffeefortheroad · 04/05/2017 23:02

Labour (times 2 - as my son voted too and he wouldn't have voted anything other than Labour)

NennyNooNoo · 04/05/2017 23:19

I'm an EU national so not eligible to vote in the GE next month. I used my vote today for the candidate representing the party I would have voted for in the GE ( Lib Dem). It was difficult to find out anything about the candidates though - only conservatives and UKIP leafletted us. Tory stronghold here and with 71% voting leave so even in a GE my vote wouldn't make a difference.

Littledrummergirl · 04/05/2017 23:24

I voted for someone whose party I won't be voting for in June. She lives around the corner from me and we used to work together.
We have some interesting discussion via facebook as our politics don't seem to match but I know she will be approachable with local issues.
she must never know I voted for her though

LightYears · 05/05/2017 07:51

James Burn - Green Party
Pete Durnell - UKIP
Beverley Nielsen - Liberal Democrat
Sion Simon - Labour
Graham Stevenson - Communist
Andy Street - Conservative

IfYouGoDownToTheWoodsToday · 05/05/2017 07:54

When the heck is Corbyn going to take the hint and fuck off?Angry

He's handed the Tories another 5 years of austerity if the results are an indication of the vote in 8th June.

PlayOnWurtz · 05/05/2017 07:57

Locals here too. Pleased with the result in my area

24HourTrainer · 05/05/2017 08:04

Tory. A waste of a time really as they're excellent and in a strong seat but it's nice to show my support.

HelgaHufflepuff76 · 05/05/2017 08:16

Labour. I'm a member so obviously I would anyway, but also our Labour candidate was the only one to bother with leaflets and door knocking. I had no idea who the other candidates were.

Badbadbunny · 05/05/2017 08:33

Tory, the conservative candidate was the only person who was doing door-to-door and leafletting, not heard or seen a peep from any of the others.

TheMonkeyandthePlywoodViolin · 05/05/2017 08:35

They could come to this door with a million leaflets and wouldnt vote for them.

TheNaze73 · 05/05/2017 08:40

Conservative & we won with 65% of the vote locally.

I| so wished that Corbyn would call it a day - these results are not good for him or the party. It would make history if he were to step down at the 11th hour, but it might give labour a boost ( wishful thinking but something needs to happen, at this rate, on june 9th there will not be any effective opposition to any of the austerity and the chaos of brexit that is coming the UK's way , and i cannot see the lib dems doing an awful lot better than they did in 2015 either..) anyone i can get to engage with politics ( which is not many and i live in a Tory stronghold so its even harder) all say ' corbyn is inept' its ingrained and these are not the usual Daily mail types either and the first to moan when the cuts start to hit them in a big way too. i despair.

DeleteOrDecay · 05/05/2017 09:28

Conservatives played a blinder here, they forgot it was Nottingham they were campaigning for and had Sheffield on all their leaflets, then the spelt Nottingham wrong and put gelding instead of Gedling

That really made meGrin how funny. Someone should have uploaded the leaflet, it could have gone viral!

DeleteOrDecay · 05/05/2017 09:29

I agree Corbyn should call it a day. I don't particularly have a problem with him personally but he clearly isn't doing labour any favours and the Tories are relishing it. It's an easy win for them - sadly.

biscuiteater · 05/05/2017 09:37

I'm registered as a postal voter as we don't have a polling station any more, but not received anything about an election here?

DeleteOrDecay · 05/05/2017 18:28

I don't think local elections were happening everywhere biscuit.

Conservatives won the West Midlands mayoral electionAngry. Not what I wanted but interestingly greens came third in my borough (used to be a lib dem strong hold), although Tories won by a landslide.
