wheresthel1ght · 04/05/2017 21:16

Walked into the point station, collected ballot paper and out an X in the box of the party I fancied. Hth

Surprised myself slightly over the past week by deciding to vote Green, and went leafleting for the candidate in an unhelpfully last minute way. She's a great candidate and has got loads done locally, very pragmatic and a real 'doer'. So is the other candidate that I know but the latter actually holds two council positions which doesn't quite seem right.

IrnBruTortie · 04/05/2017 21:36

1- Lib Dem (Local candidate, works really hard, has become my friend after helping me with an issue)
2- SNP
3- Green
4- SNP
5- SNP

I could not vote for Labour, and certainly not for Tories

ohtheholidays · 04/05/2017 21:40

This is all news to us,does anyone know where you can find out when your local council is taking it's vote?

There's been no mention of it where we are and I can't find anything online.

TheFallenMadonna · 04/05/2017 21:46

Your local government website. We have county council elections today, and both the county council and District council websites have full details.

lifetothefull · 04/05/2017 21:48

Labour. But I haven't made up my mind for general election.

Jellykat · 04/05/2017 21:50

Only had 2 choices - Independent or Plaid Confused

OublietteBravo · 04/05/2017 21:52

No one (no local elections here).

Not decided yet for June but likely to be different

stumblymonkeyreturns · 04/05/2017 21:55

Lib Dem and will vote for them in GE too

stumblymonkeyreturns · 04/05/2017 21:58

For those complaining about lack of leafleting...do you donate to parties you support or pay a membership?

This is the way they get the money needed to print the leaflets...

ohtheholidays · 04/05/2017 21:59

No TheFallen I'd looked on there already and the most recent news to do with voting was from 2016.

PortiaCastis · 04/05/2017 21:59

Independent because he's the only person not spouting shite

ItsNachoCheese · 04/05/2017 22:01

2gorgeousboys · 04/05/2017 22:28

I realised at 9:55pm whilst in my pyjamas with a glass of wine in hand, that I'd not voted. I'd planned to this morning and then children, work etc got in the way. Luckily the polling station is 2 minutes walk from our house but I didn't have time to get dressed and make it so I threw a long coat on top of my pyjamas and went to the polling station in our village to vote! Blush I apologised to the two lovely ladies on duty who kindly said they were just glad I'd turned out to vote.

I voted independent as the Ind.councillor lives in the village and seems to really care, I didn't even know the names of the other candidates let alone what they stood for.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 04/05/2017 22:34

1.Green
2&3 SNP
4 Lib Dems
5 & 6 Labour
7 Tories

I too voted until I boaked to make sure the Tories were at the bottom.

Sostenueto · 04/05/2017 22:34

I voted for local lady who lives round the corner to me and is aware of local issues to our village. In the General Election I will either vote tactically or not vote. I know May will win and therefore I am determined to be permanently pissed during her reign so I don't have to remember it.

busyboysmum · 04/05/2017 22:37

Lib dem as did dh

IckleWicklePumperNickle · 04/05/2017 22:43

Anyone apart from SNP!
Conservative as first choice.

FelixtheMouse · 04/05/2017 22:45

No one. We voted in 2015.

TheUltimate · 04/05/2017 22:48

LibDem because theirs was the only candidate who was out and about talking to local people about local issues. He seemed like a nice approachable chap. I haven't even seen a leaflet for Tory or labour.
