To be annoyed about topless sunbathing?

Topless sunbathing on holiday can be just about tolerated. I, myself, have done it on occasion if the General vibe of the place seems totally laid back about it.
AIBU to be annoyed about the woman next door to me walking around her garden in nothing but a tiny thong with her huge fake boobs out?! I don't want to be looking at her practically naked body when I'm wanting to go into my garden. Plus my DP will get an eyeful of her too which will make me feel a bit shit. And whose to say that the neighbour's on the other side of her house two little boys won't get an eyeful too.
People can do what they want in their own homes and gardens, but here is nothing but a very low fence separating us and she is only about 1 meter away from my living room window Angry

I thought it was indecent exposure if other people could see you easily. Like it's not ok for a bloke to stand at the window naked and waving to passers by, even if he is in his own house.

I think it's only ok if your garden is not easily overlooked.

Toddlerteaplease · 05/04/2017 16:28

Weather in Nottingham had been absolutely beautiful today. But not warm enough to go topless!!

Belle1102 · 05/04/2017 16:29

Even with the higher fence my living room and kitchen windows look right her patio where there is no fencing (it's like a shared patio area that then leads into our two separate gardens) and she keeps standing there inches away from my window pulling up weeds and bending over haha

If you are that offended, close the curtains.

floraeasy · 05/04/2017 16:29

Was she feeling too hot in the thong?

Was probably made of mohair and she should have picked up a cotton one Grin

Toddlerteaplease · 05/04/2017 16:30

Too many. Sunshine and not a cloud in sight. Warmer than 13 degrees!

Sallystyle · 05/04/2017 16:30

YANBU I would not like it either.

floraeasy · 05/04/2017 16:30

Sounds like she does a hell of a lot of gardening, so at least she's not letting the area down with a crap garden!

glitterglitters · 05/04/2017 16:32

Boobs are boobs as hands are hands. YABU

TheJiminyConjecture · 05/04/2017 16:35

I wonder if super conservative neighbour has commented on her outfit so she's giving them something to moan about? It's the kind of advice MN has given Wink

nigelforgotthepassword · 05/04/2017 16:38

In Nottingham? She must have an iron constitution. And er...nips to be honest as its not that warm surely?

I understand why you might be a bit taken aback the first time op, but if she always does it if can't be surprising to you anymore?

You can't stop her anyway, so to remove danger of feeling uncomfortable I would either acknowledge her with a cheery wave and say something light hearted like 'you're brave in this weather!' Or some such, or as others have said, get a better fence.

Brazenhussy0 · 05/04/2017 16:39

YANBU. She knows how openly viewable her garden is. She doesn’t give a shit who gets an eyeful of her tits and ass or how they might feel about it. It’s inconsiderate in the same way blaring loud music in a block of flats all day is says the voice of bitter experience.

It would bug the shit out of me as well OP. The thought of looking out my living room window to unavoidably see anyone, man or woman, wearing only a skimpy thong/totally bollock naked would get very irritating very quickly. There’s absolutely no need for it at all.
When you live amongst other people, it’s a basic courtesy to keep them in mind when you’re going about your daily business.

NerrSnerr · 05/04/2017 16:39

Omg woman has woman's body! What a shock. Who gives a shit? We all have tits, on your own property if you want to show them off then do if you don't then don't. If you don't want to see then don't look. I wouldn't choose to sunbath topless as I don't care about tans but I'll get dressed near windows etc, I don't care who sees what- it's only a body.

MargotLovedTom1 · 05/04/2017 16:40

It sounds a bit exhibitionist. And if it's not illegal to go naked in public then why does that constantly naked middle aged man keep getting arrested? How can the police distinguished between 'intention to upset' and having no intention to upset but just fancying letting it all hang free?

GotToGetMyFingerOut · 05/04/2017 16:40

She's now walking about with her "bald vag" out 😂 cool story.

Brazenhussy0 · 05/04/2017 16:40

And I heavily suspect that if your neighbour was a balding middle aged man wandering about swinging his bare cock around in his entirely exposed garden with young girls living next door to him, you’d be getting very different responses here.

timeisnotaline · 05/04/2017 16:41

I'd think it a bit weird and not be totally comfortable myself, but I think it is kind of good to have more public nudity as really they are just bodies and we all shouldn't be so uncomfortable. Preferably not fake ones though Grin

CaptainBraandPants · 05/04/2017 16:41

Bloody hell! I'm in Nottingham and have just got back from walking the dog and DS. It is sunny, but windy and I was shivering into my fleece when we had to stop to catch Pokemon. She's obviously got boobs of steel!

MargotLovedTom1 · 05/04/2017 16:45

"It is an offence under section 66 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003 to expose one's genitals with intent that someone should thereby be caused “alarm or distress" – but nobody has ever suggested that Mr Gough had such an intent.
It can be an offence to cause a public nuisance and to “harm the morals of the public or their comfort, or obstruct the public in the enjoyment of their rights”. But as an earlier and more successful nudist, Vincent Bethell, showed in 2001, juries are reluctant to find that merely being naked in the street does anything of the sort."

I have had my eyes opened Wink.

MargotLovedTom1 · 05/04/2017 16:45

Completely agree with BrazenHussy.

NoFuckingRoomOnMyBroom · 05/04/2017 16:47

I was just thinking what Brazen posted Hmm
I'm just up the road from Nottingham & have to say it's nowhere near warm enough to take my hoodie off never mind walk about naked.

LiviaDrusillaAugusta · 05/04/2017 16:48

I can't believe you are concerned for your DH - presumably he and you are both capable of looking elsewhere - who looks at people's chest or genital area anyway?

Why did the naked rambler get so much hassle then?
