OP posts:
GemmaWella81 · 31/03/2017 12:48

It's tailored to a different demographic...

I always liked this comment from a 'mumsnet maddness' thread over in the ds forums...

"Giving a child a Fruit Shoot is akin to injecting them with cholera"Smile

Hoppinggreen · 31/03/2017 12:50

Mumsnet - please help, my DH is shagging The aupair
Netmums- please help, Hubby is in prison

Hope that helps

Willow2017 · 31/03/2017 12:51

politics even!

LaContessaDiPlump · 31/03/2017 12:55

Oh, cuntflaps.

I've read the whole thread and just wanted to swear. 'Cos I can Wink

I will never be a NetHun.

Raffles1981 · 31/03/2017 13:07

Wow. Just had a look. Lasted 90 seconds....what a crock of glittery shite...

sobeyondthehills · 31/03/2017 13:14

Willow

I remember many threads like that, particularly one poster, who instead that people on benefits (all benefits) shouldn't buy birthday or Christmas presents for their children on tax payers money.

surferjet · 31/03/2017 13:14

It was ok a few years ago but now it's 90% pregnancy related, but they are a lot younger over there.

Datun · 31/03/2017 13:44

Because if I threatened to patio my DH on NetMums, they'd call the police.

On MN I'd get a glass of wine and a help with the shovelling.

Grin
Willow2017 · 31/03/2017 13:52

Sobeyond
Bet it was the same person 😀they had a thing about people spending their own money however they pleased just because it was 'benefits'. No business to spend it on anything they didn't approve of.

Crowdblundering · 31/03/2017 13:55

This thread is hilarious Grin

Bambambini · 31/03/2017 14:02

Men also rock up to Nm looking to get their jollies off starting threads adkingbhow many times the wimen there masterbate etc snd I'm sure lookibg to hook up with single mums. They'd more likely be srnt packing from Mn with a flea in their ear.

organixeveryday · 31/03/2017 14:03

Basically nethuns is for the more working class demographic and mumsnet is much more middle class.
That's purely down to education imo, I can think of plenty who don't have much money on these boards but are well educated.

smallchanceofrain · 31/03/2017 14:08

Netmums - somewhere to go for some glittery shite therapy and hugs from the huns after you've had a flaming from the foul mouthed old feckers on MN. Grin

Crowdblundering · 31/03/2017 14:21

So basically everyone on MN has been banned from NM?!

ExplodedCloud · 31/03/2017 14:33

I haven't! Never joined it because it made my eyes and brain hurt Grin

Riversleep · 31/03/2017 14:39

I use the forums here because Im not 22 but the Netmums to find out information. They have a good search thing for local groups and kids activities.

Billsikesbullterrier · 31/03/2017 14:41

Am I the only one who thinks the OP was kidding, bored, and a teeny bit trolling???Grin

Willow2017 · 31/03/2017 14:44

I haven't but had warnings 😀
One was for quoting what a poster said on another thread when she flatly denied ever saying it on another related thread. And I got the "how could you do that to me you awful bully"? From the poster too😀

Apparently you can lie and have your post left up but posts proving your lies get deleted. Seen it so many times.

Willow2017 · 31/03/2017 14:45

The local pages are quite good though and lots of info on site.

JustCallMeKate · 31/03/2017 14:50

I got banned for life after an argument over McCain frozen baked potatoes. They're passionate about their baked potatoes it seems 😂

Preparing for an invasion of the Nethuns defending their honour in 5...4...3...2...1
Last time we got the priceless "who do you think you are the GRAMMER POLICE!!??" which was very amusing.
Happy days.

TinfoilHattie · 31/03/2017 15:10

I used to be on NM - didn't use my real name there either. As if you would. Unless you had a name like Karen/Sarah and there were dozens of you. A fairly unusual name would make everything you posted very identifying. So I chose an unusual name which just wasn't mine.

I was never banned - just stopped posting because I got sick to the back teeth of the constant "hun" and lack of education from many posters who all had opinions on everything, but didn't understand the issues and were totally unable to debate or argue their points.

I used to be a member on Babyworld way back when my kids were born and made some very good friends there too, it's now died a death. Was half way between NM and MN in its demographic, but it did allow tickers and you weren't allowed to swear there either.

JustCallMeKate · 31/03/2017 15:20

Wasn't there also a thread about microwave jacket potatoes that got quite heated

There was. Ha ha I never understood why people got so upset over food on there.

CaoNiMartacus · 31/03/2017 15:31

My first and only post on NM was "That's bollocks." I was summarily banned, and never went back.
