Hannah4,
Just what I was thinking.

BettyBaggins · 21/02/2017 23:32

Hahahaha at dancing around with your bushy lady garden! I re-culturing mine at the mo too.

But, I have to say I find the comments about a shaved fanny looking like a child's a bit off in this context frankly. A girlfriend of mine has never had any hair on her fanny and gets really upset by such comments. Plus, any one see the thread on here the other day about ageing and a number of nurses mentioned that something like 75% of women get incredibly sparse pubes if not loose them all after menopause and after. Just wanted to get that off my....fanny! Grin

Crispbutty · 21/02/2017 23:32

"He understands what im saying but he can't get his head around the fact women have pubic hair"

He sounds incredibly stupid then.

As someone who has just recovered from having a huge abcess most likely caused by shaving, I won't ever be shaving that area again and my dp would rather me be a hairier living person than dead from blood poisoning.

Iggi999 · 21/02/2017 23:35

Your pubes, your choice surely?
As long as you wash I don't see what there is to complain about.

avamiah · 21/02/2017 23:37

Betty ,
Yes I agree with you.

FriendofBill · 21/02/2017 23:37

YANBU of course.

The boyfriend sounds like real prick though.

Neverknowing · 21/02/2017 23:40

I'm sure he'll give in after a few days no sex Grin I couldn't be with someone like this, I HATE shaving down there it's so itchy and horrible I only do it sometimes!!

avamiah · 21/02/2017 23:42

Crisp,
That sounds terrible, I hope your ok now.
I don't know if it's the same but when I was in my twenties, I regularly shaved down there and I got a ingrowing hair that got infected as I was trying to get it out.
I had to have antibiotics as it turned into a infected cyst .
Really nasty .

pipsqueak25 · 21/02/2017 23:46

his mother sent him to a counselor for watching porn Confused and you want to talk to your mil about this [cofused] x2

pipsqueak25 · 21/02/2017 23:46

Confused Blush

Grindelwaldswand · 21/02/2017 23:50

It was when he was younger his mother caught him and she decided the best course of action was counseling and he hasn't been near porn since this was before i met him when he was a teenager and if anyone has a clue why he feels like this his mother will

Seriously? We can all have preferences, but seriously?

Admittedly I've had 3 relationships - 2 serious - and a few flings as a grown up and none of this was an issue whatsoever. Is this a new thing? I've been with DP over a decade, but no partner has every detrimentally commented on my pubic hair.

Does he by any chance look like a porn star himself not Ron Jeremy? Adult humans grow hair in various quantities. My DP is very hairy, so perhaps doesn't raise any requests because to match up he's need a lot more painful and frequent waxing than me Grin

It's also not the same as a beard, but what I would say is that - as much as I am not a fan - I do recognise that if DP wants a well-kept beard, it's really not a LTB issue. And I would not doubt get used to it. He prefers me with long hair, but he didn't leave me when I had a crop....

I guess I'm saying - you're partner is being a bit of an immature twat tbh.

"DP is driving me mental with his insistence that it's wrong and gross"
It is not wrong and it is not gross. Shaving pubic hair is a recent fashion which AFAIK is down to the porn industry. And given that a shaved pubis resembles a prepubescent pubis - Hmm.

He has ishoos.

Shellym13 · 22/02/2017 00:18

You can do whatever you like but if you always shaved down there and have decided to stop he can ask why you've changed your mind. Personally I hate pubic hair and my husband knows me no other way, I shave my whole body, weird I know but I hate hair other than my eyebrows and head!
If I suddenly stopped I'd be worried if my hubbie didn't notice.

Shellym13 · 22/02/2017 00:22

Sif that was true the multi million pound waxing industry would go bust. It's personal preference Smile

2017SoFarSoGood · 22/02/2017 00:23

Well, okay, don't LTB but ffs tell him to quit moaning and grow up - in fact, tell him he can race your lady garden to see which one grows fastest Grin

OMGyoumustbekidding · 22/02/2017 00:31

I can't shave. Get ingrowing nasty pubes. I wax about every 10 days instead. Not the whole lot, just enough to stop it looking like hairy shorts lol...

avamiah · 22/02/2017 00:31

Shellym13,
Me to.
If I can't shave it , I thread it. Haha
Years ago I used to wax my legs and bikini but I didn't like waiting for the regrowth so I shave everything.
I get my eyebrows and top lip threaded which in my opinion lasts longer but it's not everybody's cup of tea.

Shellym13 · 22/02/2017 00:34

Yep I might be weird but I just hate it on myself and I feel dirty. I seen a woman who stopped shaving her underarms and I think it's so horrible. I'm not a feminist or a Prima donna but your underarms is a basic hygiene issue

AntiHop · 22/02/2017 00:38

I don't remove my pubic hair. My partner has never expected me to, and if he did, I wouldn't be with him.

kel1234 · 22/02/2017 00:39

He's bu about it.
But personally I can't handle not shaving. I shave it daily in the shower

Shellym13 · 22/02/2017 00:41

Antihop do you not shave your arm pits?

avamiah · 22/02/2017 00:42

Yes,
I agree.
My mum is 80 and she hates any facial hair and always gets me to put Veet on her top lip and chin .haha
