I'm a regular poster, and have name changed for this.

Is it just me, or does there seem to be a clique here? Some people's posts always get answered and they seem like a happy friendly little group. If you're 'new' or haven't posted that much, you pretty much get ignored.

I enjoy reading the posts, and I enjoy posting, but this 'exclusivity' is really getting to me. This is supposed to be a place people can come with their problems/jokes etc, and to feel like some people are 'left out' kinda defeats the object IMHO.

I think there might be cliques on MN.

I had a PM from a user on here when I posted some advice (that disagreed with said poster) on a thread it went along the lines of....'we have been trying to give this person advice for a few weeks and have all discussed how we need to be tough with her now etc etc'

Which obviously makes it sound like at least one group of posters chat about threads and what to say on them etc.

This might be the user that pm'd me trying to prove a point or it might have been true but she certainly made it seem like she was part of, if not a clique, a group of mn users that discussed how to reply to threads on MN.

I noticed a "call to arms" on (most recently) threads that turned in to threads about disability and (not so recently) FWR, where (in both cases) a "regular" from those boards would start a TAAT to encourage others to join in on the original. Iyswim.

TBH the PM's tend to be more "Haha, what a fucknugget" or "How are you doing?" rather than Yoni Massage or nominations for shitposter of the week. Sadly.

I think there are some regulars with some what I'd call extreme views especially when it comes to men it seems no matter what happened the woman is in the right and the Guy is a complete cunt just by virtue of her being a woman, and because of their status people won't disagree

Thanks for that Milk. I think I can honestly say I'm not part of a quiche as no one has PM'd me to ignore anyone, back them up or respond to a poster in a certain way.

I don't think I should say who it was and TBH I don't pay any attention to names on here so I would have to go through my pm's to find out what their name was anyway, but I promise I was sent that PM and at the time did think it was quite off that users were chatting about what to say to certain people and laying into them as a group.

Also really stupid to admit it in a pm to me tbh.

I've received/sent PMs along the lines of 'Can you believe this twat?' but it's only ever been regarding obvious goady fuckers.

I've never been told who to ignore, though - or been perved on for that matter.
