MN clique

TickTickBoomBoom · 05/02/2017 14:12

I'm a regular poster, and have name changed for this.

Is it just me, or does there seem to be a clique here? Some people's posts always get answered and they seem like a happy friendly little group. If you're 'new' or haven't posted that much, you pretty much get ignored.

I enjoy reading the posts, and I enjoy posting, but this 'exclusivity' is really getting to me. This is supposed to be a place people can come with their problems/jokes etc, and to feel like some people are 'left out' kinda defeats the object IMHO.

I have been here for more years than I care to mention.

Your op sounds goady and childish maybe check again to who pays you op!

Big huge yawn and fuck off

Sparklingbrook · 05/02/2017 23:59

Could be anyone. 'Distinctive posting style' could mean anything.

UnbornMortificado · 06/02/2017 00:22

Ghost it's not you Grin

I need to spend less time on here.

ghostspirit · 06/02/2017 00:30

So do I ...I tell myself that every day.

DioneTheDiabolist · 06/02/2017 01:11

Oops, I can't believe I've been outed. I am the well loved, supported and agreed with User7489513945 that you all agree with and liked.Blush Damn my distinctive posting style!

GalenJustGalen · 06/02/2017 01:56

Wait, MNHQ has access to everyone's PMs?

I'm on my own ignore list. Anytime I start feeling pissy or ignored or misunderstood or unappreciated or injured or outraged about something, I ignore myself. It tends to go away within about five minutes.

GalenJustGalen · 06/02/2017 01:58

And holy shit I just discovered bookmarking. This is going to revolutionize my MN experience.

Sparklingbrook · 06/02/2017 06:35

Yes MNHQ can read all your PMs.Grin

malificent7 · 06/02/2017 06:45

I can often shut down threads with one post! I certainly feel that if posters think your a dick you dont many response.. hence my magical shut down abilities!

Gwilt160981 · 06/02/2017 06:51

If nobody replies to me I'm not bothered. Only come on here for a nose. Classic board has me in bits laughing

NotYoda · 06/02/2017 06:55

Thank you for Pripsen replies

Thank God for Ovex

bigbuttons · 06/02/2017 07:01

what is this book marking thing you can do?

MistressMerryWeather · 06/02/2017 07:05

That happens to everyone, malificent. Someone has to be the last poster on a thread.

It doesn't mean people think you're a dick don't worry.

Skooba · 06/02/2017 07:19

I often post on threads with only 1 or 0 responses to bring them back on to Active.

I often know sod all about the subject but I still feel I am doing the OP a favour.

MistressPage · 06/02/2017 07:29

It seems de rigour these days to refer to any established group of people as a 'clique'. They're not a clique, they just already know each other. If you want to join in, join in. That's how you get to know people. If you're a grown up.

Sparklingbrook · 06/02/2017 07:29

I do cringe when people bump their oelwn threads by just typing 'bump' or 'bumping' or the pitiful 'anyone?' especially if it's only been about 15 minutes.

There are more subtle ways.

MistressPage · 06/02/2017 07:29

De rigeur! Flaming spellcheck!

Sparklingbrook · 06/02/2017 07:30

MistressMerryWeather · 06/02/2017 07:30

There used to be an 'Unanswered Messages' button you could click to see all the threads with no replies.

Where did that go?

NavyandWhite · 06/02/2017 07:39

This reply has been deleted

Message withdrawn at poster's request.

Lweji · 06/02/2017 08:21

Unanswered threads still exist.

Click the down arrow on the right on the mobile site.
It's in the bottom right corner.

I tend to respond to threads with few answers if about a problem, as longer threads usually already have all possible answers. :)
