For wanting to show off?!

Completely don't know where to post this, and completely outing but am very chuffed that early hours of Tuesday morning I self delivered my baby on the bathroom floor after an extremely quick labour. Paramedics turned up about 5 mins later but job done at that point. First thing I noticed was that he had a penis - so that was wrong as well!!! Told 95% girl - don't think so!!

Just wanted to feel proud of myself - sorry to bore you all!

Congratulations!

My cousin did that with her second boy but her mum was there (to pick up the older one). She was just getting out the bath, called her mum to give her a hand and there he was on the bath mat!

Thankyou all:) there isn't really much more to it!!
Woke up just after 2 with a bit of pain, wandered round the house a bit, no contractions just groin pain, noticed I had a bit of bleeding so figured I might be in early labour, went up to wake my DH and went to loo again when I had some proper pain, called DH to call an ambulance and three pushes later out popped bubbs. Ambulance service on phone was still going through triage! Paramedics then turned up in time for placental delivery and clamp cord etc. Then reluctantly went to hospital which ended up being a good thing as I had a couple of stitches (with entenox!!!) and then home when DH had dropped one to school and other to nursery. Baby was 5lb 9oz, so luckily not a big one!
To be fair I am a children's nurse, so kind of went into work mode regarding how the baby was post delivery regarding how he was and so on!
Think my DH is in more shock than me as he is a engineer and I never had him in the room the last time! Still beaming away at how nice but surreal it all was!

I think that self-delivery of a baby (and you seem to be as cool as a cucumber about it) is an amazing feat.
