Gulp. Am I pregnant? And Too Old?

I know, I know, you don't know if I am, but I"m in a right panic and just want to get some views on one particular point...I've just turned 45, and this will be my fourth baby.

We had sex when I thought I'd finished ovulating, that was just over a week ago. I woke this morning with a really strange, sour taste in my mouth that has lingered all day, along with a slight feeling of sickness (I didn't get MS as a rule with other babies). Eating makes the sicky feeling a bit better,

We both would be shocked but happy about another baby, but I get the feeling I'd be judged as I'm 45 (husband even older!)

Any great, uplifting stories of being pregnant at 45 or older? What about that sour taste in mouth...anyone had that as an early symptom?

I"m testing tomorrow, but might be too early, but I can't think about anything else at the moment.

I"ve name changed for this as I know a few folk on here in real life!

Good luck! If you are pg though I agree it's probably too early to test. I got a bfp at 10dpo though and have heard it's possible at 9dpo. I'd be more worried about having 4 than being 45!! (we stopped at 2)

I got a positive on a cheapie several cheapie Amazon test 9 days before my period was due with symptoms like yours with my rainbow dd then used a first response then a digital to date/confirm although to be fair I had a slightmassive POAS addiction and anxiety

I'm really sorry for the delay in updating, I know it's annoying when you just kind of want a bit of closure on a thread! We've been away and it's been a really busy basically, and I've haven't been back on MN until now.

And the update is.............

Still don't know!!!!!!

I've done four POAS which were all negative. I last tested yesterday. MY symptoms went into full about to start a period mode - last night I literally said to my husband, 'there's no way I"m pregnant, I'm totally period-y, that's that then.'

Then this morning, no period, and I was making tea when I suddenly felt really, really sick and was about to dash to loo, but nibbled a bit of ginger and some dry bread and it went away again.

Now, I've been for about 600 wees in an hour and I feel 'heavy' inside. Weird, but that's how it feels. Full and like a period, I guess, but also different.

I'm all over the place. When I thought I wasn't pregnant, we both felt a bit of relief and sadness; now I"m mostly panicking, but also excited (A tiny bit).

I'm going to get another testing kit and test tomorrow am. I forgot to mention though - I've only got one Fallopian tube. The odds of it working, at my age, when I thought I'd finished ov'ing are so slim, aren't they?!

So, yes anyway...if you've got the patience, then watch this space!!!!

I had pg symptoms 4 days post conception, went off coffee and strong smells, boob ached like pmt (but earlier than I was due) and mild period pain. I didn't test positive until week 5 for one of my pregnancies. I hope you can be happy which ever outcome you have.

Sorry - my earlier update was a bit rushed and sounds more negative than I think I feel. We'd be really happy, but with that mix of panic and worry (I can get very anxious about health stuff), just v unexpected, if it is positive.

My head's a bit all over the place, and I'm about to start a meeting with a new client and all I want to do is POanotherS!!!
