WIBU to not let my 12 year old son get his ears pierced?

My 12 year old son really wants his ears pierced. My daughter has it done so I can't use the age excuse (she is 10). I just think that they look awful on don't suit boys. WIBU to say no?

I think pierced ears on boys look absolutely dog rough, trashy and common.
I also think the same of men.
No way on this earth would I allow a 12 year old boy to get his ears pierced.
I also think that a lot of people think less of boys who have their ears pierced.

I would think that they were a 12 year boy with their own fashion sense, not to my taste, but neither are shaved heads and bushy beards ( I know 12 year old boys don't have beards, but you get my drift)

I would let him. I had to wait until I was 11 to have mine done and since then I've had other ear piercing and ALL have been left after a while!
