Good thing that there haven't been any sex scandals involving Democrats, isn't it!

Alleged child rape is not a 'sex' scandal, it's a 'child rape' scandal. And the alleged victim withdrew charges because she was getting death threats. otherwise the President of the United States would be defendant in a child rape case next month. I can't think of anything much bleaker.

Still, let's look ahead. If in four years Trump hasn't nuked the world (and his twitter account was taken away, so let's hope they are as diligent about taking the nuclear codes from his tiny orange hands too) we'll all be fucking desperate for the next President Obama. She'll have to campaign even less in 2020 than Marine Le Pen will this cycle...

Elendon · 09/11/2016 10:39

Trump (fart) is the President of the USA who said he liked to grab women by the pussy! A world leader. Said this.

I'm despairing, but by jove I will recover and get back on track.

Hands off my pussy Trump!

Charmed18 · 09/11/2016 10:39

This is history repeating itself. People are voting for the person that is 'listening' to their concerns about immigration and lack of jobs. I feel so sorry for the minority groups that are going to be affected by this. Fingers crossed a lot of what he said was for effect and won't actually happen!!

ItShouldHaveBeenJess · 09/11/2016 10:40

elendon. I think it's a brilliant speech. If you don't get it, you don't get it....

LittleLionMansMummy · 09/11/2016 10:40

We're not talking about a consensual 'sex scandal' though are we Gin. I don't think you should minimise possible sexual assault/ rape. I disagree with his politics, yes, and I agree that scandals happen all over the political spectrum. What I object to is that people voted for a man who has essentially publicly bragged about stepping over consensual lines. He's utterly vile.

QueenLizIII · 09/11/2016 10:40

We cant really criticize the democratic process, America got what America wanted.

Really?

Donald Trump
48%
58,601,622

Hillary Clinton
Democratic Party
48%
58,391,150

That is a close shave. Both had roughly 48% of the vote. Less than half.

Everyone on here says that EU Referendum should be done again as it wasnt a huge majority.

RepentAtLeisure · 09/11/2016 10:41

Oh and if he could take fucking Farage with him the world would be eternally grateful.

Someone on twitter pointed out that as it currently stands, Farage is our most valuable foreign policy asset... Yep.

@shovetheholly - right on! I agree.

BuntyFigglesworthSpiffington · 09/11/2016 10:41

Assassination chat won’t worry Donald. He himself accused fellow Republican Ted Cruz's dad of having had a hand in JFK's assassination.

YetAnotherSpartacus you're alone!

BuntyFigglesworthSpiffington · 09/11/2016 10:43

Alleged child rape is not a 'sex' scandal, it's a 'child rape' scandal.

Exactly. Utter shame on anyone trying to minimise this.

JugglingFromHereToThere · 09/11/2016 10:45

Good to read Corbyn's response - thanks for posting it Elendon.

As usual I completely agree with him

Elendon · 09/11/2016 10:45

I would have preferred her to say nothing for now. Silence is deafening. Speaking is support.

I do understand Corbyn, but his speech was as long as that wet fart Trump. Both cut from the same cloth.

doubletrouble41 · 09/11/2016 10:45

Corbyn is not suppporting trump. Why would he?

RepentAtLeisure · 09/11/2016 10:45

Trump (fart)

America Trumped. Hard. And we wait to see if the stink will reach us. Grin

doubletrouble41 · 09/11/2016 10:47

Yetanotherspartacus you are not alone.

Elendon · 09/11/2016 10:49

I didn't say Corbyn supports Trump.

Corbyn's speech was superfluous and florid. Like Trump's was.

user1470041360 · 09/11/2016 10:49

No, Spartacus, you are not alone

Lovelyideas · 09/11/2016 10:49

Only 1461 days till the next election.

hunker down folks....

BillSykesDog · 09/11/2016 10:50

I don't think that the US politicians have called anybody a "thick racist" . Whether or not anyone on this thread has said it is fairly irrelevant considering that we are not politicians and the majority of people (on this thread) don't live in the US.

It's not just this thread though, is it? It's the general left wing position internationally. It's become the party of globalisation and wealthy people who benefit from it. They can hire cheap staff and are cushioned from things like housing problems or wage drops because of their wealth and the fact that immigrants don't do the high skilled, high wages jobs they do. Look at who endorsed Hilary. It was mainly extremely wealthy people. They knew that a lot of ordinary Americans had concerns, but they just think dismissing them as racist would win them votes.

It doesn't work like that. And you can address concerns over things like immigration without being racist. By doing things like creating more affordable housing which is prioritised for long term residents. Improving wages, improving working conditions, cracking down on illegal working.

As I said, you have to give people an incentive to vote for you. Telling people that they are thick, stupid, racist and ignoring their concerns doesn't win votes, it just alienates people. Especially if your policies overtly benefit the wealthier members of society.

carolk001 · 09/11/2016 10:50

But when you are faced with a choice between the Devil and the deep blue sea.......Trump is homophobic racist etc etc etc, agreed but Clinton is a power hungry two faced crooked liar. I am glad I did not have to make such a choice!!

RepentAtLeisure · 09/11/2016 10:52

Hillary dismissing her husbands accusers is just as bad

Actually no. People always say this in terms of rape cases. People who dismiss alleged rape victims are not 'as bad' as the rapist. It's shitty yes, but it's not as bad as rape. Woman sticks her head in the sand and hopes she didn't marry a sex abuser, and hopes her child doesn't have a sex abuser as a father. Not the same thing as raping someone.

ObsidianWinter · 09/11/2016 10:52

To think we could have had Corbyn and Sanders, but instead we've got these idiots Confused

Well, nothing else for it but to stock up on essential medication to see us through this disaster.WineWineWineWineWineWineWineWineWineWine
